My old Orec upright was making a loud noise. I first took it to another vacuum shop in Saginaw, on Bay Rd, and was told that the motor was damaged and could not be repaired - This shop tried to sell me a new vacuum cleaner.
Then I visited Vac World - They examined the vacuum and said the motor was working fine, but the blade of a large metal part was chipped. The repair was completed within 4 days and they put in a new bag. The vacuum works like new. And Vac World did not try to sell me a new vacuum cleaner.

The belt broke and I discovered that the screw attachment for the bottom plate was broken.
The service men at Vac World looked at the damage and said it could be repaired. They estimated the repair would take about 1 week.
The repair was done within 7 days and the cost was very reasonable
They did not try to sell me a new vacuum - they just did what I asked - repaired my vacuum.
