Brick Concepts (BC) was created to become not just another masonry company; we chose to create a masterpiece. To achieve this, we focused on several areas of the masonry trade. Experienced masons and business men teamed up to create a company that uses highly advanced, cutting edge techniques. This places a barrier between us and other neighboring companies. We spent years researching methods, procedures, masonry formulations, trade advancements, books, articles, and marketing techniques. We continue to educate ourselves in the science of masonry. We blend the old, tried and true masonry knowledge with today's scientific masonry advancements. Our expertise stands out as a superior company that uses new scientific methods for all our masonry and/or home improvement jobs. We care about your home and the work we perform on it. Just a note that they boss seems to be a nice guy but is a bit high strung (loud and talks fast). My wife and I both found that a bit difficult to deal with.
"Dear Customer, I would very much like to explain to you our end of the matter in hopes you will have a more positive thoughts about our company. I did indeed follow up with the work on 3 separate occasions, (now 4) and to what we-thought was your satisfaction. We allowed you to hold payment until you were satisfied even though the work was actually completed correctly the very first time. As far as the employee stating it was an inexperienced worker who initially did the work, I believe your wording is a tad harsh and not quite accurate. He stated that it was an apprentice who was monitored by me, the owner. I agree, that employees should not be coming up with any excuse for anything a customer is unhappy with. But in his defense, he is a mason, not a customer representative. I would like to take the time in explaining to you about the work that in your opinion was subpar. The "repair" as you say, was really not a repair. It simply wasn't aesthetically pleasing to your eye. There are many reasons why it took the time it took to finish your project. #1 It was not a repair, the work we initially completed with my apprentice actually fixed the problem with the water coming in. We really do have home repairs where water is flooding into peoples homes, etc, which takes priority over a job like yours that was already fixed. #2 I did call you on SEVERAL occasions to schedule return dates, with nothing from your end but a voicemail. #3 Not that personal matters should be even discussed in business, but during this time I was battling a broken wrist and a severe infection in my hand, that literally ate 25% of my tendon in my wrist. Hence the reason why I was present with and supervising my apprentice. Also, I did not charge extra for the various proposals and different pricing options that I made for you. And the price I gave you was phenomenal. I do not feel we deserved such a poor review from you at all. Especially since part of your review was not based on the actual work itself but of your opinion on the rate and volume of my voice. I am very surprised as well as hurt about your comments and opinions. I ask all of my customers to please call if they need anything, and I always go the extra mile even if it means we take a financial loss or by making myself vulnerable in showing that I truly care. I have already lost on your project due to the labor, the expenses of getting there, and the extra material I used to redo everything 3x. Even in this state, I would like to offer you a partial refund. And I apologize to you if you felt we could have done everything better. I feel like this matter was due to the result of miscommunication, on both our parts. I truly believe after this, I have exhausted every effort to make you a happy satisfied customer. These guys came out, surveyed the issues, recommended a solution. The chimney was repaired less than a week after their initial inspection of it, so that was very much appreciated. Impressive, too, since the cap was a custom-made piece.
Would recommend them again, as the owner is very responsive and personally gets in contact with you regarding your satisfaction with the work performed.

"Hello this is Ken the owner of Brick Concepts, In regards to this matter, I want to extend my sincere apology for your unhappiness with our service. I wish I would've gotten a phone call from you that you were not happy with the sweep or the quote or any questions or concerns you had. I understand it was a $100 job with a quote of $2,200 for further work. I am willing to give you back your $100 and do the additional work for FREE. In reference to another company stating the chimney was not cleaned, I would like to say that the chimney appeared to have never been cleaned before me. It was pretty bad, and the fire brick mortar inside was so deteriorated that it was falling apart as I was cleaning it, hence the dust all over your floor. I never said your chimney was going to fall through, I explained that the inner coursing of fire brick was so deteriorated that the coursing could fall down, if water continued to come in. I am willing to go above and beyond for you, to take care of this entire situation. Lack of communication causes room for error. Again, I wish you would've called. I work very hard to make my customers and the employees who work for me pleased with my personal service. I hope that you will contact me about this matter, after this response here and after my visit to your home this morning so that this situation can be resolved. Take care and God Bless."
