The Service Manager handled our job. After leaving my wife's car there, they called about a half hour later and said that all four of the tires were "chopped". He said, "Ironically I have your tires new in stock, but I wouldn't sell you those, due to their poor quality (Goodyear Eagles!), BUT I do have a better tire and can get you into them for about $1000, mounted and all"
I have been around cars most of my life, being an automotive engineer for 25 year, I never hear this term I told him. He said, "Your car is still on the hoist. Come on up and we'll show you on the tire balancer." We arrived and went to the tire balancer. The first tire did have a wobble as it was spun. I said, "Let me see the others". He put the next tire on and spun it as well, and said "do you see it?" I said, no, I don't. I told him to take the car down and that I needed to think about it.
A few days later I went to another tire shop (Kimberly Tire). They assessed the problem as being one tire with a delaminated belt AND offered a used (Goodyear Eagle) tire with about the exact same wear as my wife's. No sales pitch. They said they would take off my old tire, put on the new and make sure everything is in balance for about $65 dollars. A perfect response.
I had a good experience at Belle some month back, but after this. I'm through!

They're very helpful and they know what they are doing. What I like is that I have smaller vehicles and they'll find things they recommend not doing and they won't charge me, they just tell me that it's just not good to do. They're very upfront and honest with me.
