After contacting three companies with basically no return call for 4 days, and one return call quoted us over the phone and the price was double what we paid for J&J. The gentleman came out early evening within 2 days to give us the quote and two workers were at the home two days following to install the great gutters! It took less than an hour and they did a fantastic job putting them, removing and taking away the old gutters. We were very impressed with the workmanship and workers. Could not have asked for more. Great Job!

I would not use J&J for any type of roofing work based on my costly experience which didn't solve the water leak problems that J&J was supposed to diagnose and fix: Rob, the repairman, from J&J replaced both of my chimney flashings in early 2012 in order to stop water leaks from each into my attic. Within two days of the replacement we had a very heavy storm and I went into the attic to find that the leakage was as heavy as it had been before the repair. Rob came out again and applied more caulking but the next rain brought the same leakage. He came back a third time to caulk again, but when I asked him to test with a hose watering on the roof , the leaks were still present. Why? Because it wasn't the original flashing nor Rob's replacement flashing which was causing the problem. The water was coming from some cracks in the mortar joints and the brick on each chimney. So Rob tore out perfectly good flashing and then charged me a higher-than-market price, I've since learned, to replace each. Afterward, I had a brick mason repair each chimney and now no longer have water leakage. J&J didn't manage/supervise this worker adequately. I wrote a letter to Terry, the office manager after the first re-repair saying that there was a problem and a manager needed to get involved. I never got a response to this nor did anyone from the company call later to see if the problem was resolved. I went to S&S because they advertised in our church paper and because I wanted to believe their website info on the company re workmanship, experience, et al. Big mistake on my part. I'm ashamed to say I was in too much of a hurry, didn't research some other companies and didn't verify J&J's promotional stuff. I've learned from this experience that S&S should have water tested the roof and chimneys before starting any work in order to verify what the problems were. They also should have charged me a fair and reasonable price to do the job. I've also learned their repairman does not use the best repair practices like the counter-flashing method which is used by professional, experienced roofers to provide the best protection against leaks. Buyer beware!

The roofer arrived by himself and delivered the shingles he would need to do the job. I expressed my concerns about having the work done in cold weather by himself. He assured me that he'd been working on these types of jobs for about 30 years. When he did return a few days later, the weather was much better and he had completed most of the work by the time I arrived home in the early afternoon. The work involved removing quite a few shingles and rebuilding the area behind the chimney (the saddle), and replacing the chimney flashing. I was very pleased with the results and appreciated his offer to contact him if any problems were discovered later.

Came out and discussed job during quote process--brought samples to compare onsite. Called to schedule install, arrived each day at time committed to. Very good initial install and when we had a follow up they came out the next day and completed to our satisfaction. Clean up each day was great!

I had a great experience with these guys. They even came out a year later during the winter when I had an issue with the gutter due to a neighbor. They put it back up and restraped it at no cost.

We spent about $5800 on that service. It was a positive experience with them. We had 5 companies come out, but Chuck from this company was the only one that went up on the roof and looked at it. He was just very friendly and he told us a few things that a couple of them had said we needed, which made the price more expensive. He told us that on our size house we really did not need that, so we feel that he was very honest with us. Their price, quality, and responsiveness were excellent. Their punctuality and professionalism was excellent too.

Everything went wonderfully. They crew was very nice and friendly. The salesman seemed to be honest and he was funny. They were very honest and trustworthy. We did have a minor problem but they were out very quickly to address my concerns. The communication and follow up was exceptional. I would recommend this company and use them again.

J&J Roofing team for the roof were, on time, very, very clean. Left absolutely no garbage. Did a great job on the roof. The siding Co., Metro Installations, subcontracted by J&J left things lying all over when they would leave for the day. We never knew when they were coming, they would sometimes only work 3-4 hours and leave, skip a day. They tore 9 out of 10 screens, which J&J did replace with no extra cost to us, but there was still that inconvience.Took Metro Installations 2 weeks to finish the job. Would NOT RECOMMEND this CO. The Co. doing the gutters, Pearl Trim & Gutter, were very prompt, very professional, and clean. Came to fix a problem we had the next day. Recommend this CO. HIGHLY.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. THEY WERE STRICTLY DETAIL ORIENTED IN THEIR WORK. THEY WERE A GROUP OF TRUE PROFESSIONALS WHO TOOK PRIDE IN EVERYTHING DEALING WITH ROOFING. THEY HAD A CLEANING CREW PICK UP THE OLD SHINGLES WHILE THE OTHERS DID THE ROOFING.
