Master Collision

After the accident, I called my mechanic for a recommendation and he gave me the name and number of Master Collision withouteven having to give it some thought.  A confident recommendation.  This business is at the owner's home, but a good size garage, well equipped, lots of work being done there, current cars and a couple of vintage vehicles.  He was pleasant, gave us a well detailed estimate.  I then went to an auto body shop recommended by my insurance company, and I know they do good work, but their estimate was $1200.00 higher than Mr. Welch's.  I asked the insurance adjuster when he came to look over both itemized estimates to tell me why one was so much higher.  I had intended to compare the two myself but hadn't done it before the adjuster showed up. He pointed out that the second shop charged a significantly higher labor fee, and was replacing the hood rather than repairing it.  My son-in-law, who had a lot of "car experience" said the hood's damage was so negligible that it could be fixed.   So we took the car to Mr. Welch on Monday night.  He thought he'd have it 3 days.  It's our only car, so we sure hoped he was right.  It was ready Thursday night and looks great.  We're very happy.
