Subcontractor hired by Apex to do re-build was not qualified. Electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing all had to be redone. Damage was done to other parts of the home and appliances during the job and not repaired or replaced. Apex reps did not return phone calls. Job took 6 months, just thinking about the story from start to finish wears me out.
Description of Work: mitigation and restoration after water damage.

Called Warrick Street, 45227 address several times and asked if they did roofing. Office was very helpful. Asked for Insurance information. Was told they'd call later in week to set up appointment for at least another two weeks before they could get to me. Never heard from them.

Thank you so much for this information. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. September 14th was the largest catastrophe our area has seen in years when Ike blew through the tri-state. Unfortunately all four of our offices were hit with emergencies way beyond our capacity at that time as were every other restoration companies. Blue tarps were on the roofs of several homes and businesses for months unfortunately. We are still cleaning up messes from vendors who "blew through" the area just to make quick buck, unfortunately. While an apology hardly seems to make up for the unfortunate situation, my hope is that we could make amends. Because of this catastrophe, we have completely changed the process of handling emergencies such as this. While your situation is very unfortunate, we have thousands during that time who are very satisfied. Again, that is no consolation to you given your situation however for the others who may decide to use us based on Angie’s list, we want to make sure it is known that we have a number of completely satisfied clients. Thank you again for this information. We are always open to feedback especially when it will help us improve our ability to serve others.

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE WORK. THE PATCHING WAS NOT SEAMLESS, AND THE PAINTING WAS STREAKY. AFTER 5 MONTHS AND SOME HEAVY RAIN, THE EXACT SAME WATER DAMAGE OCCURRED. APEX SAID THEY DID NOT GUARANTEE THE WORK, AND EVEN SAID WE OWED THEM $295 FOR THE CAULKED GUTTER (WHICH WE AND OUR INSURANCE CO. HAD NEVER RECEIVED A BILL FOR). THEY ALSO SENT A LETTER SAYING THEY WERE CONTACTING A LAWYER IN 7 DAYS IF WE DID NOT PAY. THEY DID SEND A NICE GUY OUT TO REVIEW THE DAMAGE. HE ACTUALLY GOT ON THE ROOF AND TOOK PICTURES, WHICH IS SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T DO THE FIRST TIME. HE CAME UP WITH A DIFFERENT AREA WHERE THE WATER MAY HAVE COME FROM AND THE CONCLUSION WAS THAT WE COULD MAKE ANOTHER INSURANCE CLAIM AND HIRE THEM AGAIN TO FIX THE SAME PROBLEM. (EVENTUALLY THEY DID AGREE TO REMOVE THE ''OUTSTANDING'' BALANCE FOR THE GUTTER WORK). SO NOW WE ARE LOOKING AT ANOTHER $500 DEDUCTIBLE, AND 5 MONTHS OF WATER LEAKING INTO THE HOUSE, WHICH MOST LIKELY CAUSED EVEN MORE DAMAG
Description of Work: MY FOYER AND PART OF MY KITCHEN HAD SOME MINOR WATER DAMAGE FROM AN ICE DAM. THE DRYWALL WAS RIPPLED AND MY LIGHT SWITCH PLATES WERE LEAKING WATER. APEX SANDED, PATCHED, AND PAINTED THE AREA. THEY WERE ALSO SUPPOSED TO FIX THE AREA WHERE THE WATER WAS COMING FROM. THEY ADDED SILICON CAULK TO THE GUTTER BY WALKING OUT OUR WINDOW.
