Dave, Amy and the crew are the best. Professional, courteous, clean and punctual. The work was performed as described and on-time. We are in the process of renovating a 1926 English Tudor, we originally had Nu Pipe come to inspect a drain issue we had in our garage, they were able to use the high pressure jetting system to remedy the problem. My wife asked if they could inspect our main line sewer while they were there and they did so by camera.  The inspection showed that we had roots growing in the line and eventually we were going to have some major issues. This was the last thing I wanted to hear (we had already put a substantial sum of money into the house) I was expecting an outrageous quote considering we had an extensive length of pipe. Dave explained the liner system and worked with us to keep the cost manageable. This an outstanding product and would be worth looking into should you encounter a similar problem. I would highly recommend Nu Pipe to my friends and family - Five Stars

I purchased sewer line insurance in late 2012 as it was newly offered in conjunction with my city (Berkley) and because I have had a lot of problems with root intrusion since I moved into the house in 2002. In April of this year, I noticed water starting to come up thru the floor drain in the basement and gave a call to the insurance company that evening. They contacted Nu Pipe and Amy called me that evening and said they would have someone out there the next day.
The following day, David showed up with his crew at my house with a heavy duty auger (and I've seen a bunch of them over the years as I've had the line maintained) and was able to get the line cleared in about 45 minutes. After he had the line cleared, he snaked a camera thru the line and could see quite a bit of damage in the line from root intrusion. He said that the insurance company would not replace the line until it collapsed, although they would allow for a small patch. However he didn't think it would be safe to put in a 4 foot patch as it could weaken the rest of the line. He stated that if I didn't want to wait for the line to collapse I could have the entire line relined with CIPP for $4,900. I called my insurance company to confirm this was their policy and indeed it was.
They came out a couple of weeks later and it was a two day job. The first day one of David's employees came in to break up the floor. He was there for a couple of hours jackhammering the floor and digging out a 4 foot hole in the basement. This did not look like a fun activity. The following day, David came out with a couple of his workers to put in the CIPP. It took them about 11 hours to complete (9 to 8). After they were finished the showed me the new pipe by snaking the camera in and resealed the floor and put a new PVC cleanout in.
What stood out to me most with this company is:
- All of the employees I interacted with were very courteous and on top of things. From Amy calling me back right away (when she didn't answer the phone - which was a lot) to one of the workers offering to take in my wifes groceries. David explained things very well and took the time to answer my questions.
- These guys are very clean. I've had a couple of plumbing companies to my house and they have made quite a mess. Nu Pipe lays down tarps and they clean up after themselves quite well
- The plumbers I have had out to my house previously have been a little on the strange side. The NuPipe guys are as normal as they come.

We had Nu Pipe out to our home to give us a free estimate.  I was skeptical over the ?free? estimate because most of those come with a catch, but this one was truly free!  David Marsh, the owner, came out and did a video inspection of our sewer and discussed repair options with us.  I never felt obligated or felt as if he was trying to sell me on something we didn?t need, the proof was on the video screen.  They install a sewer liner to fix the problem and the entire process was completed in two days.

The price we paid was the price quoted but the disruption to our lives was much less than we had expected.  The guys were friendly and helpful and explained the process as they were doing the steps.  I would recommend lining to anyone who is experiencing a sewer problem ? two days is an easy trade off for eliminating future sewer backups.  YUCK!

Overall, the process went smoothly.  I called on Thursday, November 16th and Amy, the receptionist, was very friendly and informative.  They had a busy schedule that particular weekend but told me they would fit me in on Saturday if that was okay with me.  Having made arrangements with a competitor, they allowed me get back to them after asking the competitor some follow up questions.  I ultimately went with Nu Pipe because of their pricing and customer service.  Because my drain was already backed up, I had a different company snake the drain so I could at least shower and clean dishes until they were able to clean the line on Saturday.  On Friday Amy called me and told me that the plumbers were ahead of schedule and could swing by and clean the line that night instead of the next morning.  I told her that I was on a bit of a time crunch and had plans I could not miss that evening, but I would be okay with them swinging by if they felt they could finish the job in the allotted time.  That evening they plumbers arrived promptly and were very friendly and professional.  They ran the camera to show me the severity of the problem, snaked the line in problem spots where the camera could not pass on it's own, hydro jetted the line, and sent the camera back in.  Most places charge additional for the camera work and snaking when they perform the hydro jetting, however they feel that the camera work is part of the estimate process and that the snaking was required to give an accurate assessment of the job.  The total cost of all of their work came to $550 which was about $225 less than another highly rated competitor, and the job was completed in about an hour.  The workers cleaned up debris after the job and then I was given the recommendation of a lining.  Because my yard is so deep, they cost of the lining at $75/ft ($30-$70 less than competitors) left me at $7,500 for the lining.  They would have to do the lining in two runs rather than one which would require an access point be dug in the yard.  Because of the cost, they told me the access point would be free.  I ended up not getting the lining because I do not have the money available to spend at this time, however I will be calling them once I have set the money for the job aside.  I feel I should also mention that even while I was on the books for their competitor Amy was friendly and informative and was in no way pushy.  She did not say anything untoward about the competitor and in fact praised them as a quality company.  She was empathized with my situation and was wishing me the best of luck regardless of whether I went with Nu Pipe or the competitor.  The same cannot be said about the competitor.  While the competitor did not say anything outright that was in poor taste, they did give a "buyers be warned" vibe purely because Nu Pipe is a younger company.
