American Flooring

I took in a sample of my granite and Yvonne helped me choose tile to use on our backsplash.  She was very helpful without being pushy.  She did not care that we were not going to use their installer, just seemed to care that I would be happy with the tile in our kitchen.

The salesman at American Flooring was fine. He was informative without being pushy. The carpet-layers were excellent. One of the rolls had a dent-line at the end. Rather than laying the carpet, he pointed out this problem and asked what we wanted to do. In spite of a discount offered if we accepted the carpet, we opted for new. It took a few more days to wait for the new carpet but they came and took care of it. I recommend this company for you to highly consider if you are purchasing new carpet

The job went very smoothly and was very nicely done.  There was no mess left behind and it was quality all the way.  The price on the tile was reasonable though much more than the tile we would have bought through a DYI place.  Didn't mind that, but the cost of the installation seemed high to me.  We went with them, however, because I wanted to get the jobs done and out of the way.  But in the future, I would buy the tile from American Flooring but first find a flooring person to estimate and do the job that was more reasonably priced than American's contract tile person.

They were very good with their knowledge on the flooring.? They were very personable.? They were very helpful in helping us pick out what we wanted.? We dealt with the owner herself.? She was very good.? She came right up to the house and brought samples and stuff.

Excellent overall.

We had a bamboo floor installed through American Flooring, Okemos. Kevin and Yvonne were very helpful in the showroom. It took several trips for us to finally decide which wood to go with as they had a great selection to choose from. Nick and Michael were our installers and they did a first class job. It looks great!

Overall, our experience with American Flooring was pretty good. They were glitches here and there that could have been avoided. It was mostly communication issues between us and the contractors that they used and the person that coordinated everything. We dropped off the key, so we were going to be out of house while we did all that work and when the contractor came, they did not have key, they did not lose key, this person just did not find it on the desk when he went there and the next contractor that came in he was supposed to get the key from garage, but the person that dropped off key in the garage never told us that the key would be there. Regardless to that, they also locked the door to the garage so the person could not get in and nobody bothered to tell us any of this. So, delays were there because they could not get the key, they could not get in the house and everybody had our phone number. Price wise, they were same as everybody else.

Started out a little rocky at first with communication once everyone was on the same page went quit smooth.  The end results were wonderful!

Installation of all the areas was smooth and professional. The crew of three was very friendly yet business-like. Our service representative Joe Pier was excellent . He stopped by our home to take measurements, advised us on replacing our exciting wood floor and recommended other options. We went to the retail store were greeted by the owner Yvonne. We then completed the order. Within seven days the job was completed. Good company, good people....

They visited us a week ago and looked at some of the issues with our kitchen flooring. He suggested something and we purchased it. The gentleman was very thorough and it was a great price.

Very pleasant, low pressure shopping experience, very knowledgable staff. Very willing to negotiate price and lower the price if we remove existing carpet, etc. Scheduled at our convenience, prompt, quick installation. Very meticulous with transitions and floor to wall cuts. Called after a few days to check to see if the floor squeaking had improved which it had. Insisted that we call if the squeaking continued as the floor is fully warranted. The floor is beautiful and the squeaking and creaking has almost completely disappeared. They even sent a thank-you note for our business. Very pleasant transaction and experience over all. I would recommend this shop any time. We purchased from their store on Willoughby Road in south Lansing.

Jon Eyer, the salesperson, was very patient and visited our house then went back to the store to find the right carpet for our lifestyle. We have two big dogs and he gave us several carpets to choose from and steered us away from ones that would not be suitable. They were fair in their pricing. Our carpet arrived in two weeks. When we found a special that offered installation for $50. He honored the installation fee. Our carpet was installed in one afternoon. They stretched another carpet in another room for free. They did a great job. Our carpet looks great. I would definitely recommend them to any one.
