I wasn't able to afford the repair at this time.

I preface reviews with the fact that I expect reasonably good service making that average. One has to get me angry to rate an F and practically walk on water to get an exceptional rating. I took our German cuckoo clock in as the chains came completely out. I was fourth in line and watched while the customers in front of me were served. I am seldom impressed in such instances but this was an astounding experience. These people are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They even described in detail something a customer could try, to keep his tubular chime grandfather clock from stopping, that may allow him to avoid a very expensive and tremendously time consuming rebuild. The prices charged for work customers picked up seemed reasonable to me. One customer was dropping off an interesting looking wall clock which reminded me of something from the seventies. It didn’t look valuable but the woman working the counter handled it like it was a work of art. They have a lot of work and I expected to have to leave the clock for a long time but the man that waited on me had the tools and experience to fix it in a few minutes.

They charged me $10.00 for the inspection of the watch to determine the problem. I think that the charge was very fair. They would have taken the $10 off of the bill had I decided to go ahead with the repair. Highly recommended!

Northville Watch and Clock Shop provide excellent service for clock repair. I have a grandfather's clock that my grandfather made that tend to get stop running and so he came in and took it apart and he placed some parts and showed me the wear and tear and he could tell how many times it had been fixed by different craftsmen and some did it the certain way and some did it the other ways that he was able to clean it up and it is like new now. His service was prompt. He was knowledgeable. I think when you are looking for somebody to repair a clock like this that have to be in the home, since we can't really put it in your car and so, he made it very easy. Just call, set up the appointment, and he came out and took care of the problem.

Had an old Seiko that other shops said could not be fixed. Called Seiko and was told that the parts were out of production and not available (special band). This shop said they could figure out a fix - and they did!

When I called I never expected to get a Saturday late afternoon appointment. The price was resonable for the amount of time he spent on the clock and for it being a house call.

I was referred to Northville Watch and Clock Repair by a jeweler/watch repair store in my town. They were unable to fix my watch, and sent me to Northville.. Northville Watch and Clock couldn't fix it either (parts are not available), but they gave me contact information for manufacturer's repair department and suggested I contact them. I also asked whether they could reattach the hands on two small desk clocks and perhaps change the hands on one to make them easier to see. They suggested painting the hands which worked well. Every person I spoke with at Northville Watch and Clock was very helpful. The repair on both clocks was done quickly. The quaility was beyond what I was looking for in such a small job, and the price was more than fair. They absolutely won my loyalty. I will go there any time I need watch or clock work done, no matter how big or small the job.

We bought the hanging clock 30 years ago. They did a really good job. Their price was reasonable. They did take some time to repair it. They took it to their shop and kept it for few days to ensure it is working fine. They are very professional.

Like I said, every time is a great experience. The employees are extremely intelligent in watch/clock repair and horology. They move pretty quickly too it seems. I asked for an estimate on one item and I was told it would take approx. two weeks to get back to me... it only took three days. When I had one previous clock repaired it took a long time; however, I feel this was because the parts were extremely rare and hard to come by. I was going to abstain from rating the "price" section because I've never compared prices; however, I do feel that I got my monies worth for all transactions.

They do perfect repair jobs. It is family owned and the people doing the work on clocks and watches are highly skilled. They are very pleasant and the pricing is fair.
