THOMPSON'S ALL IN ONE AUTO RPR

I called Thompson's up and he seemed really genuine on the phone. We set up plans for my car to be picked up 30 miles away by a wrecker. The wrecker never showed up, so I called him back. He sent the wrecker out again and this time it was late. After he inspected he said it would take him a couple of days to fix. After a week, I called him and he said it would be another day. Two days later I showed up to his repair shop. When I walked in I saw my car and two kids that looked under the age of 18 working on it. I told them to get my car off the jack and I brought a tow truck to take it to another repair shop. I payed them their money and left with the tow truck driver. Thompson said that the reason it was stalling was because I needed a new computer in my vehicle, and it would cost me an additional 4 grand. But when I took it to the next mechanic he discovered in less than 5 minutes to figure out it was just a fuse. Cost me less than 5 dollars to fix the fuse. So I did some checking around and found out Thompson's was running an illegal repair shop. He wasn't licensed by the state of Michigan. I filed a complaint with the state and a representative got in touch with me. Turned out that Thompson's has a long history with these sort of problems by scamming people and the state. He even had a sign hanging in his shop claiming he was licensed. Everything ended up well because it turned out that in the state of Michigan if a repair shop is not licensed they cannot accept any money for services. So my money was refunded.
