"The home owner is 100% correct. I came out to his house to give him a quote for his two bathrooms and flooring. I was able to give him a ballpark estimate for everything. I went on vacation two days later, and did not get back with him in a timely fashion. I deeply apologize to the home owner, my company , and Especially me the owner should of gave a itemized quote in a timely fashion. Sorry"
Thank you Martino Home Improvements and Glen for your services.

I would highly recommend Martino Home Improvement for roof repair.
Edit 5/23/2014: As of today, I have not received any calls or emails from this provider after the original call was made to set up the time for an estimate. Unfortunately, it is too late to reconcile with them as the work has already been completed.
"The homeowner did in fact contact our office and schedule a free estimate. We have recently added new team members to our staff due to the volume increase of our growing company. One of the new team members had regretfully made an error when entering the appointment into our data base. This mistake was caught the following morning by management and attempted to be reconciled. We reached out to [member name removed] in efforts of extending our apologies as well as rescheduling the Free Estimate. We have had no response from her. We do our best to give 100 % customer satisfaction, but human error is inevitable. This appointment was no cost to the potential customer and we were willing to go above and beyond to prove our dedication to her interest in our company. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I was floored. Honestly, if that was his mindset, I'm glad he didn't waste more of either of our time. But this was *far* from professional. And my rating reflects that. Maybe if your job lines up exactly with their thinking they're a great company. But I have no idea how you're supposed to know that in advance... I guess at least if it doesn't you won't waste a lot of time, but be prepared for a condescending reply.
"I Martino Montalto, president of Martino Enterprises , was on this appointment. I met [removed member name], [removed member name]and their 5 month old daughter. They just recently purchase the house, [removed member name] informed me they were moving fast to get things done. The home inspector came out and found a number or things wrong with the roof. The inspector told [removed member name] poor craftsmanship was the cause of most of the issues with the roof. [removed member name] and I walked around the house while [removed member name] explained as well as visually showed me his concerns. We briefly spoke about Nail pops, flashing, chimney saddle, ventilation and a number of other issues. Also there was a problem with aluminum siding. I explained to the homeowner immediately that our company does not repair aluminum siding due to the delicate and fragile materials likeliness to crease and dent. Also the age of his materials (approximately 30 years) would make the risk even greater. After [removed member name] and I walked around the home the first issue we began speaking about was the lack of ventilation. I attempted to explain how important it is to fix the issue, as well as the different options to do so. [removed member name] stated he was “looking for something cheap” I then explained that my company will do corrections the proper way, if he was looking for cheap they called the wrong company. My Company does not cut corners, break city codes, etc. in order to keep the project cheap. I discussed again the three ways to fix the ventilation problem, smart vent, adding soffit vents on the aluminum “Not Recommended” and redoing the soffit with hidden soffit vent material. After I explained the process of each one, I asked him which one sounded best to him. The homeowner explained to me that he didn’t quite understand what a soffit vent was and needed more information. I went to my vehicle to get my iPad to show pictures of smart vent and soffit vents. I did not have a picture of the hidden soffit material. I tried to explain to him 3 times what the hidden soffit material consisted of and the process of how it works. It may have sounded as if I was repeating myself, however I was giving my best efforts to help him understand the process as well as a visual of the recommended product. [removed member name] was clearly having difficulty either understanding myself or the concept of the product. [removed member name]began to show aggravation and hostility, instead of arguing I politely shook his hand and told him I didn’t think it was going to work out. My intentions are never to offend or upset anyone, however when I am being spoken over, disregarded, and questioned upon the knowledge of my company I choose to respectfully agree to disagree. My company installs over 750 jobs per year and has been in business for 15 years with three generations of experience. I have come to the conclusion that we are not for every customer and every costumer is not for us. I wish the best for the [removed member name] Family."
