They did a terrible job and when I asked them to fix them, Ray kept making excuses but never came back to look at them or settle anything. See pictures below showing multiple areas where there were spots with no finish at all, nails left, etc. I took them to small claims court in May of 2015 and was given a judgment of a full refund plus court costs totaling $1,283 (Something the judge said he had no intention of doing, but when he heard the full story he said that Ray Parrinello and his company were so unprofessional and their behavior in the courtroom was so bad that he could do nothing short of a full refund.) They agreed to pay $200 monthly until I was paid in full, but payment sporadic. I had to keep asking for payments and went months with nothing. He still owes me $433 and he will not respond to my inquires at all now. I last contacted him in February 2016 and he last paid in November 2015. I would not hire him or even let him do anything for free as it's terrible work.

Ray and his crew did a phenomenal job. The house is 1930 and the floors were in bad shape, however, they turned out great after a lot of work and effort.  His crew is polite, professional, personable and very trustworthy.  They also did another job at another rental house I owned and the result was similar - good, fair price and excellent results.  I will recommend Prima Floors again.

After telling Ray that I had limited funds and work for a non-profit Ray gave me a price of $0.60 a sq. ft for light screening and refinishing with nail holes filled. Upon looking at the floors, Ray said he could get a lot of the stains out if he did a medium refinish at $1.50 a sq. ft. plus $50 to do the rest.  It would be 2 sandings, 2 coats of commercial grade poly and would take 4 days.  What he did (sanding and finishing) took him less than one day after the nails (though not all) were removed and the shoe molding installed. I had just bought the house and wanted this done before moving furniture etc. in. I stopped to look at the job before paying him but was told it was still wet so viewed it from the kitchen only. I left the floor to dry for several days before walking on it, then moved in about a week later  When moving in we started noticing "sticky spots" in all the rooms as well as the fact that not one of the stains was removed or even lightened, and there were still nails around the rooms in places. I tried contacting Ray and when he finally responded, he said that if I had done more than a light screening it would have been better and for that reason he was not responsible. I left another message explaining that I had done the medium refinishing, though now wondered if that is what had been done, though it was what I paid for. In mid December he finally agreed that he would come to take care of the problem with the finish but he was really busy and would call when he could come...and I waited again. When I tried to contact Ray again, I got no response. In March 2014, I disputed the charge for this on my credit card. They now tell me that they are unable to help because I waited too long to dispute.  I waited so long because I was trying to get Ray to take care of the issue and didn't know that I should dispute within 60 days. I couldn't even get him to come out within 60 days.  He has still never been back to even look at the job.  The one time I did hear from him after the credit card company contacted him he said it took him so long to contact me because "I have had 2 deaths in my family, we went on vacation and things have been busy." He also said he lost my phone number, but I also communicated with him through email and he knew where I lived and worked.  I don't understand all these excuses having anything to do with a job done poorly and trying to correct the problem.  Life happens but to some extent you still have to be responsible for your work and to your clients.  I responded and gave him 2 dates I was available but he never replied to say the dates were or weren't good or anything else.  This was on April 29.  I haven't gone on vacation because I now have to pay someone else to re-do these floors. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a service being done. Ray does nothing but give excuses when he does bother to respond, but still has not taken care of his poor work. I plan to also contact the Better Business Bureau and the State of Michigan to see what other recourse I may have.

Ray was great to work with. He met with us and discussed options for our floors (there was damage in one room). He gave us pricing for three different options. His crew arrived when they said they would. Very personable and polite crew. They worked hard, and the floors look great.

I called Ray and he came by within a day to give me an estimate.  He was kind and courteous.  His price beat the nearest competitor by 20%.

We set a date for the following week.  Ray showed up on time and even worked with another contractor (painter) to plan the job out so they could work around each other.

Ray kept good communications.  He gave me a report everyday on how things were going and how much longer the job was going to take.

I have an erratic and troublesome neighbor who was trying to give Ray trouble for turning his truck and trailer around in my driveway.  Ray kept his composure and acted in a professional manner.

Ray and his crew cleaned up after themselves well.
