We had a great experience with Greene Environmental Services! I called first thing in the more about possible asbestos in our insulation. They were able to give me info on the phone and take a look at a photo of the insulation. Someone was out within a couple hours to take a sample to be tested, and thankfully it was not asbestos!! I really appreciated their prompt response to come out and take a sample, and also the detailed phone conversation we had as I was freaking out in the morning but felt more calm after we talked regardless of what the outcome of the test would be. Would definitely recommend!

The amount of asbestos that need to be removed was minimal and the price quoted seemed very high but they completed the removal in a timely manner.

Worked very carefully, sealing the area off from the rest of the house. Cleaned up well behind themselves. They had the rubble taken outside, and had it picked up for removal very quickly.

I am leery about major construction projects and have been burned by construction crews that don't seem to care about quality work. (One prominent asbestos abatement company that I hired in the past actually left the asbestos waste in my basement for me to find.) Mike acted like a professional from our first meeting and his experience with ZAI (Zonolite Attic Insulation) reimbursement was very helpful; he knew what photos I needed without me having to explain it all. And with Mike's help, I got the maximum reimbursement check from ZAI. Asbestos abatement is expensive so I was reassured at how seriously the work crew took it; the work area was completely walled off with thick plastic and the crew had to rinse off with a shower that they built on the porch before exiting the work area. All in all, everything went by the schedule Mike provided, the cost he proposed, and the service he promised. I was very happy dealing with him.

I was told by XX that they would not come to install carpeting until an asbestos analysis was completed. The owner is very personable and responsive. But, I really didn't need to have this test performed as what I learned is that "all 9X9 tiles contain asbestos." He tested the adhesive affixed to the tiles. In hindsight, I didn't need testing since we know that asbestos is present.
