I would recommend this company to ANYONE. Not only were they priced the best, they were incredibly responsive, they were kind and helpful, showed up on time, they didn’t try to upcharge, stuck to the proposed timeline, AND the work was incredible. The floors look so good (including an area that was covered with 50 year old glued-on Linoleum). You will not regret working with this company.

The process was great from start (quote) to finish. We had challenging floors with 4 different wood types. Chris did a wonderful job sanding, staining and finishing. He was super professional, communicated well, was punctual, clean, and open to collaborating options. We had pine and fur that needed a conditioner which ultimately matched very well with our two different oaks. We needed to be out of town for part of the process and it went great with daily status and pictures provided, it was nice to know we could trust someone to come in and do the work.

Very happy with this company. We had about 500 sq feet of hardwood floors that were in dire need of refinishing. Estimator came quickly and on time. Quote received same day and was very reasonable. Scheduling for the job was less than 2 weeks out. Crew was punctual, courteous and skilled. We had some questionable black marks on the wood floor that the crew were able to remove saving us money by avoiding stain or board replacement. Overall, we’re very happy with this company and would definitely hire them again!

I had my entire kitchen and atrium floors done. The crew did a great job and everything was done in two days. No issues, the crew cleaned up afterwards, they were very professional and kept me informed as far as the status. I would definitely hire them again

They did a great job. There were several delays in my scheduling needs due to changes in the entire project due to lack of availability of matching cabinetry. Functional Floors worked with me and kept any delays to a minimum. The drew were efficient, pleasant and very good about cleaning up as they proceeded.

The crew was prompt and professional, and crew leader Jesus answered questions quickly. Our house originally was carpeted throughout and when we pulled it up, we discovered several stains left by the previous owner's dog. We knew some of the stains were so heavy there was a chance they couldn't be sanded all the way out and that some boards would have to be replaced. As it turns out, the crew only needed to replace 3 boards (we were expecting more). They even finished the whole job in less time than originally planned for. We could not be happier with the way our floors turned out - they are absolutely beautiful. We would hire Functional Floors again in a heartbeat and 100% recommend them to anyone needing their floors refinished.

I cannot recommend Functional Floors enough. I was able to get someone out and a quote within a week of calling. Howard did the refinishing all by myself and I could not be more in love with my floors. He answered any and all questions I had and was very responsive. I had two bedrooms, a hallway, and a staircase done in a week.

ill & Fred are highly skilled, very patient with color selection, fully explain the project and also advised us and made a needed repair to our bathroom which needed new boards. They fully explained the project and the floors are beautiful. Office is very responsive and positive vibes. Would not change anything. Dan explained everything, measured accurately and gave me a realistic idea of lead time to schedule the job. After meeting him I had the confidence to book the job.

It went great! We refinished our floors in two sections. The first section was straight refinishing. The crew was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The second section was refinishing existing floors, as well as, installing new flooring. The team did a great job matching the new floor with existing and even custom pieces for our fireplace and closets. I was impressed with their hard work and would definitely hire them again.

We are very happy with are decision to go with this company. John M. was the worker that came everyday. John was on time everyday and if he was running a little late he would call. By late I'm talking only 15 minutes. He helped us decide on the color of our floors by putting 4 colors down. He made a suggestion on which color by the lighting and direction of our boards. We ended up using his suggestion. The work was done on time and we are in love with our floors. We would use them again!
