Did a good job

The final bill ended up substantially more than the estimate. Gaps were left at the baseboard molding that were too large for the shoe molding to cover. Damage was done to the freshly painted walls in various places which needed to be patched and repainted and the dust clean up was totally unacceptable.

This took 4 days because I had 3 coats of poly applied, which I paid extra for the 3rd coat and paid for shoe molding also, great price. They did an excellent job. Some dog stains remained but it gives the floor character.

Matt was awesome - very knowledgeable and communicated what he was going to do and kept to his schedule and when it changed a little he called me to let me know. would highly recommend this company.

From the start the process was smooth and professional. The estimate was easy to understand and honored. The scheduling for the work to be done was quick and easy (I was on a tight time line and they worked with that). The guys that did the work (Angle and Brian) was awesome. Angel and the team were good. He showed concern for making sure the color of my new stain matched as good as possible to the existing finish on my stairs - which I appreciated. My only gripe was that they didn't seem to be as careful as I'd have liked. There was stain splattered on the trim and on my metal grates. They also scratched my newly repaired walls when they taped my cables to them. Finally, they did a decent job of vacuuming the dust from the floor, but left piles of sawdust in the windowsills. I wish more care had been taken.

The workers performed a very poor job repairing my floor, leaving a massive gap in the middle of the floor instead of at the wall. The gap was so large that you could actually see the subfloor between it if you looked. I was refunded my money for the job, but not only did this cost me more time because I had to rip up all the work they did and redo it myself, but it also cost me all the wood that I was forced to tear out (30+ sqft). On top of all that, the owner tried to convince me repeatedly that it was fine as it was and that it was the best that would be possible. He said I shouldn't bother pulling it up because I was going to end up with the exact same gap that they had, and it wasn't a poor installation. I was able to rip up their poor work, and reinstall new boards in less time than it took them to just do the awful install. If an amateur can do the job correctly, there is no way that you could say a "pro" couldn't figure it out. All in all, I could not responsibly recommend this company to anyone, and am upset that I didn't just do this repair myself in the first place.

The customer service was excellent. They were very accommodating when our personal schedule changed. Chris, the owner was very consumer friendly and answered all of my questions and contacts. The actual floor refinisher was friendly and respectful. However, there were a few areas that the refinisher did not know or have any suggestions for certian discolorations in corners or along baseboards. If I was super particular, they would have had to figure out an alternative to getting rid of the discoloration made by an unknown prior source. This project was done on my father's home, but I have had floors refinished in my own home, so I know what a floor should feel like after 2 coats of poly. Certain areas did not feel as smooth as I would personally like in my own home. I am not sure if there was left over dust, if there wasn't sanding done between coats or what was lacking in the process. I am sure they have many crews that are contracted to the company so I am thinking this was just this particular contractor/refinisher, not the company itself. Overall, I would use this company again but I would convey concerns or questions more directly. This final outcome was really my responsibility in making sure things were addressed properly. I was on a schedule and ultimately didn't want to delay the process.
