Dr. Herring is personable, professional, and very qualified.  She was very thorough and knowledgeable.  The advice I received was sound and all my questions were answered.  Wait time was minimal; waiting room is a bit small.  She is difficult to get into (I had a referral) and it takes a month or two to schedule an appointment. However, I believe it is worth it.

Dr. Haering always seems to be at the "top of her game" in terms of academic knowledge. She gives complete, understandable answers to my questions. She is open to working with me to find the treatment that works best for ME, not just what might seem best according to a textbook. I find her to be personally warm and caring while maintaining professionalism. After more than five years as her patient, I continue to be completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend her.

The office waiting room is small, dark, and not welcoming. The area is so small it is virtually impossible to have a private conversation with the staff person at the window or to avoid hearing another patient's personal business at the window while waiting for your appointment. The waiting area doesn' allow for a comfortable amount of personal space while waiting for an appointment. They have also installed one of those annoying medical TV screens that plays constantly, making the room feel even more crowded to me. Fortunately, if I arrive on time, my wait is almost never long. This waiting area serves not just Dr. Haering, but the other physicians and therapists in the practice, so I imagine it is under "group" control and not something Dr. Haering could personally decide to change. Once past the waiting area, the space is suitable and the decor attractive.

The office staff is friendly, and handles appointments, billing, prescriptions and emergencies just fine. However, the staff dresses mostly in jeans and sneakers, which isn't up to professional standards in my book. If the staffers want casual comfort, I think scrubs and nursing shoes would be more appropriate in a medical setting than jeans. Regardless of the type of profession, I feel more respected when the office staff dresses in a way that shows respect for the profession and the clients. I'd like to see them at least ditch the jeans in favor of nicer pants.
