After many bad experiences with painters, I found this company on Angie's list and he was well worth the wait!  I contacted him in the Spring of 2013 and already he gave me a time frame of July/August, so plan early.  The owner, Ryan was on site every day and completes one job before another is started.  They worked at least a week scrapping, power washing and caulking.  The paint turned out beautiful and I was so happy.

The owner came out, he talked about the paint, the company, all the work he did, what he recommended to do and not do, some major repairs he won't do and so he has referred me to another contractor to get some bigger roof repair work done. He's very pleasant to deal with. He was very good, we were very pleased with him.

Great job.  Worked quickly (weather permitted) and kept a clean job site.  Cleaned up pain chips and left no mess.  No spilled paint on roof around chimneys and dormers.  Very satisfied.

move the breakables.   They took our Tv off the wall, took down blinds and curtains.  They then
put everything back before they left.
I can't say how great these people were.   I was very nervous about doing this and they made

They did a fantastic, unbelievably good job. I had two other painting companies bid on it and they were both very iffy if they can do a good job but Ryan was really definite that they could make it look really good. They were really good. They were about the same as other companies for pricing.

Ryan returned my call promptly and scheduled an appointment. He was very professional and courteous, and provided me with a quote the next day. It was a tough decision between two equally qualified and engaging painters. The bottom line came down to price and the fact the other painter and his assistant would move the furniture for me and return it to its original place.

From his first visit to our home to give us an estimate, to the final completion of the job, it was a very pleasant experience dealing with Ryan Conlin, his wife Trudy, and their workers.  They did a great job, from the washing of the house, to the thorough caulking of all seams, to the painting of all siding, trim, and doors.  
We appreciated that their company doesn't spray on the paint, but they used rollers and brushes.  They were professional, hardworking, and always approached everything with a mind toward our convenience and satisfaction.
We are highly satisfied with the paint job they did, and are absolutely thrilled at how great our home looks now.  

Ryan did a great job on the house, garage and deck, He was professional, responsive to my concerns and questions, did the work when he said he would and did it within the timeframe he gave me at the outset. when he found a strip of water damaged trim on the garage, he made a connection for me to have it repaired and came back to paint the repaired section. I was very pleased with the entire job and have already passed on their name to a friend who asked about a reliable painter.  I will definitely use GLPC again.

We asked for prices fro exterior and interior work and had them do the exterior now and plan on them painting interior in the spring.

Greater Lansing Paint Company came 15 minutes early for our appointment. Ryan was very professional. He even had a laser device that took measurements of all the rooms.

Ryan was very cooperative and accommodating and was happy to do little extra things that I asked for, such as painting a piece of lattice, at no extra cost. All of the paint was brushed or rolled onto the house -- no spraying and no damage to any of our plants or shrubs. The shutters were removed before painting, painted separately, and then re-hung.  The team put on two generous coats of solid stain. I will definitely call Greater Lansing Paint Co. when we need our deck redone.

Wow the paint job looks amazing ... like new!!  Ryan is a great guy to work with.  He and his team are professional, personable, timely, hardworking, and committed to doing a QUALITY job.  (And there's nothing to indicate afterwards that they were even here except the beautiful work!)  We are very pleased!

It was reasonable. The time involved and the window of opportunity did not fit with what we wanted. He was very personable. He was very upfront. He was willing to give us examples of his work. He had confidence in what he did. He was also willing to consider other options. He was very knowledgeable about paint. It was reasonable. The price could've been a little lower. He was quick to answer. He never hesitated.

They came when they said they would, did exactly what I asked, and did a good job. They're coming back to do my deck soon.

Very professional, Ryan returned my call promptly and met with me for an estimate. I had already started painting part of the living room. He recommended a higher quality paint to complete the job, I agreed and couldn't be happier, the paint matched perfectly and the finish was flawless. I do a lot of my own painting and am a perfectionist, I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

They were very professional.  I would have gone with them but then I decided that for that amount I can do the job myself and that is what I did.  They were worth the amount they quoted, but I decided to do the job myself.  I think they were reasonable.  The person who came was good.  I would recommend them to others and I will use them in the future if needed.

The quote for painting two rooms was $850.  He was a really nice guy. He was on time and he was really nice to work with and talk to. He seemed really friendly.  If the price was better I would have had it done. It was just out of my price range.

When I initially called Ryan Conlin, owner of the Greater Lansing Paint Company, I left a message on his cell phone. He returned my call later that day despite the fact that he was on a vacation in Mexico at the time. He promised to talk to me more in detail upon his return on Saturday even though I said that the following Monday would be soon enough. Sure enough, Ryan called me on that Saturday and we set up a time for him to stop by the house for an estimate.

I was immediately impressed with Ryan's clean-cut presence, punctuality, enthusiasm. energy, and professionalism. What a "go-getter!" He described the pros and cons of brushing vs. spraying, the Sherwin Williams products he used, and the fact that he, himself, would be on-site throughout the project. He also showed us his portfolio of houses that he had painted and a full page of references.

Ryan emailed us his estimate within a day or two, and we found that his estimate was right in the middle of the other two estimates we had received, both of which spray-painted, rather than brushed the paint.  It was an easy decision to accept Ryan's bid, especially  after talking to a former client who gave Ryan and his crew a glowing report.

The painting job went exactly as promised. He knows his products and how to apply them. Instead of trying to rush through the job, he made sure to allow the house to dry thoroughly after being washed, before applying the caulk, and then allowed time for the caulk to thoroughly dry. Same for allowing the paint to dry between coats. He also made sure not to apply the paint in the direct sunlight.

Ryan and his crew's work ethic is outstanding. They arrived promptly at 9:00 and did not take any breaks until lunch time.  They brought their own lunches, and sat under a tree, even though I suggested they sit on the porch furniture.  Ryan declined, saying they didn't want to get our furniture "dirty."    The crew worked throughout the afternoon until quitting time, again without any breaks. They cleaned up at the end of each day, stowing their ladders and materials out of sight on the side of the house. This went on for about a week and a half until the entire job was done.  There was never any smoking or bad language of any kind. They were all extremely appreciative of the drinks and snacks I made for them, though they didn't help themselves to anything until it was lunch time. I told Ryan he is a wonderful role model for his 3 younger workers. 

We are very pleased with the job Ryan and the Greater Lansing Paint Company did on our exterior house painting and deck. We have accepted another bid from them to remove wallpaper and then repaint a master bathroom and bedroom, living room and family room. We very much look forward to working with them again.
