Our 11 yr. old Golden Retriever had been a normal, active dog. Last night, she lost much of the use of her legs, stumbling and running into walls. Since our previous Veterinarian had retired the previous month, we were suddenly in a crisis, in hopes that this wasn't "the big one." We didn't know how to get our big dog into a car, so called two Veterinarians who made house calls. Dr. Mac thought she might be able to make it, but had some scheduling issues (although she called later as promised, and said she'd come right over); the other one didn't return my call. Worrying that we were out of luck with the home visit, I called the Sprinkle Rd. clinic, who said they could see her this afternoon. Our dog was seen right away (my husband brought her home a few minutes ago). Although we still don't know the cause of her distress, pain, and lack of mobility, she was given pain pills and steroids (which I gave her immediately). After a few days, we'll know if she needs further tests and treatment, and will proceed with this wonderful clinic and our new Veterinarian. We're very pleased by our dog's immediate treatment, the Veterinarian, her staff, and the physical facility. The cost was lower than we'd estimated, and the care was excellent...couldn't be more pleased!!

Our experience with Sprinkle Rd Vet Clinic was fantastic. We are new in town and had not found a vet yet. I was in a time crunch due to an unexpected trip and needed to board my dog, but had to have him immunized beforehand. I called Sprinkle Rd Clinic the evening before we needed to leave (on a train, so our time crunch was vital). They were able to schedule us the next morning, and when we arrived early, we were seen before our scheduled time and got out in plenty of time to make it to the boarder and to our train. The reception staff was friendly and efficient. The building is clean and well designed. The vet tech very friendly with me and the dog. The vet was wonderful. He talked straight to my dog and seemed to talk dog language -- I know it seems crazy, but he really communicated with him. He showed my dog the needles, etc. and I was amazed. I will take all of our pets there and highly recommend this clinic. One more thing. I had brought my kids with me, and the vet took them very seriously when they had questions and comments. That impressed me. When my daughter explained that our dog had been limping off and on, the vet made a thorough check of his shoulders and recommended some arthritis medication. The medication was expensive, but our dog is doing very well and no limping!

We have been going to them for years. We always go to them because we really like those people out there. I think that they are really excellent with their care. If there are other Angie's List members who are looking for a clinic like that, they should definitely check them out. They are very good.

What impressed us most was our primary visit in 2011. The vet there explained the licensing rules to us and explained how, as we had a 3-year rabies shot given in our old state, we would need to renew her license in January or February (not March) of the following year, else her rabies shot would expire within twelve months and we would need to give her an extra shot before she needed it to meet city guidelines. This is complicated for me to explain, but the vet was much clearer, and saved us a few dollars. She also explained to us our options regarding dental cleaning (how we could save money by doing more regular brushing, or how she would prescribe a cleaning in 2012). I really appreciated how she didn't simply tell us what needed to be done, but tried to show us options to help save money.
The front desk staff is very friendly, and our appointments have been more prompt than any other vet we've visited for a scheduled appointment in our previous state.

We have had a wide variety of pet health issues over the years as our pets aged. Arthritis in the spine, diabetes, heart worm in a stray dog we rescued, blindness, deafness, cancer, and even one dog that ate rat poison. The team at Sprinkle Road took excellent care of our pets, with tremendous compassion and understanding. They saved our dogs life after the poison incident, with Dr. Rohr bringing in his own dog late at night to do a blood transfusion. They helped us manage another dogs diabetes, and we were able to enjoy life with her for several more years after her diagnosis.

We have had to say goodbye to all of these dog due to their old age. Each time, the staff has treated our us and our dogs with great love a d dignity. It's clear to us that they truly care for the animals.

Unfortunately, their prices have gotten too high since the business was sold to a corporation. We have had to start going to a different vet for our one new dog. But I would still recommend this vet based on the high quality of care they provide.

Occasionally I could not get a pet in as quickly as I would have liked due to them having a full schedule or the veterinarian who specialized in the type of pet I had was not available.
Overall, the clinic was professional, courteous and caring. I would use them again.
