Karmays Flowers & Gifts

I called in an order for out of town relatives because the family in Jackson was using this florist. I placed 3 orders - 1 for a flower arrangement for $50.00, two for plants for $43.00. I later called back to change one of the $43 planters to one for $26. the employee I spoke with was not very gracious about the change saying that a dish garden for $43 had already been picked out. She did, however, make the change. I was embarrassed when the order was delivered to the funeral home. The flower arrangement for $50.00 was skimpy and nothing that should have cost $50. The plant for $43.00 was o.k. because it was a peace lily. but the supposed "dish garden" for $26 was Pathetic. It was 2 plastic 3" pots of ivy (still in the plastic pots)stuck in a box and surrounded by what I would call Easter grass. I could have gone to Mejer's and picked up 2 ivy plants for about $6.00. I believe the florist considered my request to change to a less expensive plant to be "cheap" and so sent out a plant that was not inexpensive but certainly was "cheap". Needless to say, I will never use this florist again and will encourage my relatives in Jackson not to patronize Karmay's.
