Called several times to get a tree trimmed. Calls never returned. Tree fell causing property damage. Called for removal at emergency rates, was told a minimum two weeks waiting. Scheduled it, called another tree service who cleaned up damage and removed remainder of the tree. Johnny's crew showed up before the office opened to cancel and I am being charged a service fee. Others have complained to the BBB about this company, but bad Google reviews keep disappearing. Do research before hiring, as they absolutely will not do scheduled work but will show for higher fee emergency work.

Buyer Beware! Needed a branch removed from my roof in August of 2020. This company quoted a two month waiting time unless I used their higher priced "emergency service", stated net 30 days terms but required a credit card, charged for undisclosed travel time, and did not clean up the fallen wood and debris. When I had the temerity to question some of these practices, they charged my credit card immediately even though I had withdrawn permission for them to do so. No doubt when they read this poor rating, they "will be unable to find me in their records" as they have done for the other poor reviews they have gotten....or they will come up with justifications for the above. I have since been able to determine that others in the same field do not use these same poor business practices. Again, Buyer Beware.

They were punctual, but communications with team leader were confused, for lack of better word. Husband asked for logs to be stacked behind garage, but all was left in a very messy, unstable pile which was very difficult for us to navigate and move by ourselves. When the team finished the job, they just left and did not make any further contact with us to let us know the job was finished or anything. (Also, the 2 males of the team left the 3rd female team member to work alone for about an hour during lunch period before the work was completed after their return. She was unaware that they had even left.) We were also disappointed with all the sawdust that covered so much of our property and felt it wasn't cleaned up as well as it should have been. Had we known what the results would be, we might have taken precautions and covered and/or moved some of our property and plants. Maybe we were somewhat naïve about the work and our request regarding the stacking, but the team leader should have explained this to my husband, which he did not. We were surprised and happy to receive a discount on the bill because they didn't need to haul the wood away, however. The reason we would hire again is that their price was much below another estimate we had received, so we still feel we got a great deal on the work! (Our achy bodies would disagree after the days of work we did to clean up the mess that was left though!)

I called Johnny's Tree Service two days ago after a storm took down a 50 foot tree in my back yard. They said they would be out today to provide an estimate. After sitting home all day waiting for them, they called after 5:00 saying they are unable to provide any further storm damage estimates unless I am willing to pay their $185 an hour emergency fee. Not only did I waste my time today, but due to a holiday weekend, I can take no further action for another four days. Since they came highly recommended, and because they have an excellent rating on Angie's List, I am shocked by their lack of professionalism, and total disregard for my time. Such a disappointment.

"Storms tend to cause an enormous amount of work in a very short amount of time. We are a small local business and can only handle so much at one time. At some point during that day a decision was made that any more estimates would just be adding to a workload that was becoming too much to handle and many calls were made with the same message for our hourly service. Unfortunately we are subject to homeowners simply searching for insurance estimates to do the work themselves so they can collect a check for a claim which wastes valuable time. We understand the frustration although a bad review for our commitment to serve as many people as we can during an emergency seems a bit unfair. Please be assured that many people accepted our offer and were promptly taken care of with our professional approach to an emergency situation."

They came out at two separate times. Once to ground out the stumps and once to cut the tree back. Everyone was very nice and professional. Even the office people were very easy to talk to and work with. They had provided an estimate within a day if my request and as it was so reasonable and I had only heard good things about them I didn't even get any other estimates.

They showed up on the 11th of October at 10:45AM to start the process. Continued on Friday (12th) with all five pine trees completely cut down. They then proceeded to load up all the trunk sections piled up in the back yard. Completed that in two loads. The space they had to work in was quite tight but they never dropped a branch on our new roof or our rose bushes, not once! They returned on the 16th to remove all 5 stumps and completed that process in about 90 minutes. The following morning (17th) they loaded up the woodchips from the stumps, pine needles etc. and raked the area. All I had to do was watch the process take place. They cleaned up the area very well and the deep ruts I was afraid would be created never happened. Overal, we are very pleased with service and would most definetely recommend them.

Although they could not come on the day they said they would because of storms in the area resulting in emergency calls, which is understandable, when they showed up they worked well and finished in one day. The stump grinder came a few days later. Everything was cleaned up after the tree cutting and stump grinding.

I chose him because of his reputation and a lot of people use him. He was close and local. They were excellent. They did good work and they cleaned up. they were in and out very fast. They were very courteous. The price was fair.

My yard is landlocked on 3 sides so the trees are very hard to get to. They bring board tracks they put across the lawn to drive on so they don't damage the lawn. They are absolutely to die for. Their price is about 30% cheaper than anybody else I could find.
