Ryan is a general contractor, we needed some other work done on our gutters. Not knowing who to call, I contacted some companies, then asked Ryan if he could recommend someone. He responded with, "we can do that!". We were happy he could do that as well because we already knew his work. It was completed within days.
We will contacting Ryan in the future to complete any other home projects both small and large.
task that day, they were completely on board. At the beginning of the day, I walked and even watched them complete each task. As the day progressed I became more comfortable and confident in there skills and abilities. I watched them work for the first 2 hours and by the end of the second hour I felt very comfortable leaving them to do there thing and went on to complete other tasks that I needed to address. This was my first experience hiring Greenleaf Home Services and I look forward to working with them again! They worked a full day on a Friday and were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you Greenleaf Home Services!!!
We were so satisfied with the work he initially did for us (installation of TV mount, dining room light fixture, bathroom light fixture, house front sconce lighting, and installation of mailbox, doorbell, and house numbers), that we asked him to do a major project of redoing the fireplace wall and installing doors to built-in shelves.
The job was done with such great attention to every meticulous detail. Communication was great and always easy. He shared his ideas, and helped us tweak our own with his expertise of lumber, proportion, etc. He visited the site that inspired the project, and really went the extra mile during the whole process.
The finished project is stunning, a real piece of art. His work is consistently the first thing people notice and compliment when visiting our home. The final project exceeded our highest expectations and hopes.
Ryan is very trustworthy, and we cannot recommend Greenleaf Home Services highly enough! Five stars, easily. We have consulted him for projects after this one, as well.
Ryan was late arriving for both appointments and unfortunately, did not call at the appointment time.
I am pleased with the screens that he built.
When Phillip came back out to perform the job he was on time and started by prepping the cedar wood panels he brought. He replaced one layer of panel and then came to tell me that the remaining siding was all rotted out and would need replacing. He started to pull apart the siding on the bottom of the chimney and showed me the lack of insulation and fact that everything was waterlogged and needed replacement. He never put things back the way he found them but left nails hanging out of my chimney siding.
I was very upset by his determination especially since he had previously come out to provide the quote. I told him to stop immediately and at this point he called his supervisor, Ryan and owner of the business.
Ryan decided that based on what Phillip had done so far, and after spending 4 hours at my home, I should simply pay $150 for the cedarwood and so I did. I also asked that they measure the entire house for replacement siding and that I preferred vinyl or aluminum instead of wood. Phillip stayed behind for about an hour and took measurements. I was also disappointed because he did not completely clean up after himself and he also left my replacement panels unpainted.
Despite reaching out to Ryan and informing him that I had not received my quote (over 1.5 months ago), I have not heard back from Greenleaf. When I contacted Ryan and informed him I was not happy with the delay in quote he informed me Phillip had been sick. Till this day I have still not received a quote and I am out $223 plus the cost of my painting supplies.
Below is my email correspondence with Greenleaf:

Good morning Ryan:
It's been 10 days and I have not heard back from either you or Phillip on the quote for replacement siding for my home. Also the deal was to prime and paint any replacement pieces and that was not fulfilled. I have two out of place slabs on the side of my house that have been primed but not painted and crumbled wood shavings all over the ground on the side of my home.
Please let me know if you plan to provide me with a quote for vinyl siding since I am skeptical about going the wood route. If not, I need you to be honest and I can move on.
I am about to complete your company review on Angie's List and right now it is not favorable. Also Phillip should have discovered the extent of the problem the first time he came to estimate the job and not after he had started it.
Thanks,
Lola Are

First, I would have appreciated if Greenleaf was honest enough the first time around to properly evaluate the extent of my damage. I have since had an insurance representative and other contractors stop by and the first thing they mentioned is how the wood panels were soaked all the way up.
Second, if they were not capable of handling the job they should have said so and not pretended to come back with a quote or install vinyl or aluminum siding.
I have hired them to replace my kitchen counter tops and kitchen sink, so I really would recommend them to anybody looking for someone honest and polite who does a great job.
I have mixed feelings about this review. I doubt window re-screening is this company's "bread and butter" when it comes to the type of work they specialize in so i'm not sure a "good or bad" type review really benefits anyone considering this company. Instead, i'll just give my story.
Ryan was able to accommodate my schedule by coming in the late evening, after I got home from work. He was prompt and professional. I let him do his thing. After reinstalling the repaired screens, I inspected the work and noticed that the new screen on the screen door was already starting to rip along the edges. I pointed it out to Ryan and without hesitation or attitude, took the screen door back off the track and re-screened it a second time. I inspected it again and it looked o.k. The two window screens he did were o.k. They are tall and narrow screens (approx. 15"W x 96"H) and the new screens were a little too tight so the frame kind of bowed in on the long side of the frame so much that daylight could be seen between the screen frame and the window casing. I didn't make an issue with this, because I know the screen will "relax" and stretch after awhile and so too will the frame (not to mention, it was late and he already re-screened the door twice). Ryan and I chatted a bit after he was done (I'm in construction too) and he left and I was satisfied.
About a week later, I noticed that the screen door was starting to rip again along the edges. In one spot, the screen had actually slipped free of the compression gasket that holds it in place around the frame's perimeter. I called Ryan and again, without hesitation or attitude, he scheduled a time to come by and re-screen the screen door a 3rd time. He was again prompt and professional. And when he left, I was satisfied with the screen.
A few weeks later, I noticed the screen was again ripping along the edges and working free from the gasketing. I didn't have the heart to call Ryan back again. I figured, after 3 unsuccessful attempts, I didn't want to be the very definition of insanity, expecting a different outcome with a 4th try!
I've since gone to Home Depot and a local window and door company and it's clear that the screen material Ryan used was VERY low grade stuff. And the gasketing he used should have been a different size and type. This is my only beef. The local company charged me $30 to rescreen the screen door with high end screening and the proper gasketing. They even tightened the frame so now it opens and closes nice and crisply. Yes, I had to drop off the screen, wait a couple of days, and pick it back up, but come on...$30? I paid $99 for a screen door and two window screens. Knowing what I know now, at that cost, I would have expected higher grade materials to be used.
In conclusion, I'm sure this company is probably a decent and competent interior renovations type company. But when it comes to window screen repairs, I recommend you have a windows and door company do it or take it to Home Depot and select the material and do the work yourself.
