PERFORMANCE HEATING COOLING & ELECTRICAL

I woke up to no heat on a winter morning and called Performance Engineering. He was at Lowes on an off day and came over immediately to check the furnace. He was able to root cause the issue to the ignitor. Since it was an off day and he came immediately over from Lowes with no tools, he used my tools to complete the work which required a basic screw driver. The work was complete within an hour and heat was back on. The cost of the job was very reasonable and he deducted some labor cost since he used my tools to complete the work. Highly professional, courteous, and responsive. All of my future Heating and AC work will go to Performance Engineering.

Woke up on Sunday to an inoperative furnace. Phoned Performance along with 4 other places advertising emergency 24 hour service. Jim Phoned back within 15 minutes. He spent to the time to walk me thru quick checks at the furnace and declared he had to come out. Within the hour he was at my door and after another 30 minutes he had diagnosed the issue He then reviewed the process with me of the diagnosis and solution. He spent the time to ensure i understood the problem. Since it was Sunday @ 9:30am the availability of parts was scarce. This was not a common part he stocked on his truck so we had to wait a day. Just like he promised he phoned by 7:15am the next morning and stated he had the part and was on his way. The professionalism, kindness and dedication to resolving the issue was outstanding . I have never dealt with another technician like him in my life. I would recommend Performance Heating Cooling and Electrical above all others in the business. This company truly outshines the rest and should be a role model for how all company's should conduct customer service and professionalism in the work. Truly outstanding..

Jim answered his phone right away despite it being 'after hours'. Offered to come out first thing the next day. Performed service the following day. Texted twice to see how things were working. Nice, professional, honest, and economical service.

It was HOT when we needed the AC. The person my husband spoke to pretty much knew what the problem was right on the phone. He told my husband how to get / keep the AC running until our appointment. He was punctual and was able to fix our unit by replacing the motor. It runs GREAT now.

Jim did a great job overall. He came out to look at my old unit promptly and replaced it the next day. He was very flexible and worked around my tight schedule. Everything looks great and very professional, must better installation than the prior unit from another installer. When the inspector had a question Jim was able to resolve it on the phone and everything passed. The unit has been working great during one of the hottest weeks of the year.

Wonderful!!! Called Jim, the owner, for an appointment and estimate on my AC unit and he came to my house in record time!! Once here, he observed the unit's condition, made a few checks, determining my system was in need of a capacitor. Jim meticulously was in tune of all safety measures. Upon replacing this capacitor, he patiently and painstakingly siphoned freon through my system's mostly plugged-up valve so my condenser could once again emit cold air into my home. Generous time was given by Jim to complete the overall job without excessive labor cost overruns. Parts prices were very fair. Would highly recommend Jim and Performance on future AC jobs done! Contractor was very professional and thorough. Quality craftsmanship. High quality unit and materials installed. Replaced outdoor pad. Old unit and debris cleared and removed. All work was explained prior to install. Will definetely use this contractor again as needed as they go above & beyond to make sure the job is done right! I highly recommend Performance HC&E. It went very well. Jim was very professional, knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Also pointed out a few things that needed attention in the future.

Highly recommend! Jim offered to come out and do this work himself but he said that it was actually something I could do myself. He walked me through the steps over the phone, sent instructions and hand-written wiring diagrams, and followed up with me to make sure everything worked as planned. I had attempted to figure this out myself for weeks so was incredibly grateful for his generosity. His level of service was unprecedented. Jim is a clear professional who knows his stuff and puts his customers first.

The person was able to come on a Sunday morning to assess the problem of central air not working. He came exactly on time and was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within an hour. He also checked out the furnace and explained everything he did. I will definitely call this company again. I was very impressed!!!!!!!!!

This company was very responsive, thorough and professional.  I contacted them at an inopportune time (just before Thanksgiving) to replace a 30+ year-old furnace crammed into a tight space.  I was in the middle of having my basement remodeled and they had to work around other contractors' schedules (flooring company, carpenter, etc.) to complete the job.  A new furnace was installed immediately, although custom ventwork was required, which would take several days to build and install. The company did an excellent job of providing a temporary solution to ensure that the house stayed warm and comfortable at all times while the rebuild was under way. They also integrated my existing solar heating with the new furnace. They were respectful of my schedule and my space, explained the process thoroughly, and priced fairly.  I highly recommend their service.

Great job, great electrician, on time, and friendly,

I was prepared to get a quote for a new unit given the age of the current unit.   Performance did testing on the unit and found it to be in good working condition and just needed refrigerant added.   Warned that it may not hold if there were a leak within the coils - but could easlily last another 8  years if there were no leaks.   Added 9 pounds of refrigerant at a good price/lb and also discounted the call out to the house.   Spent another 30 minutes going over the unit and if the refrigerant did not take care of the issue, to call back and he would out to install a new unit.   Gave a quote on a new unit needed at 4 tons.    My system has worked all summer with no issues and  I believe it will function great for several more years.   He also came out the next morning after my call at 7:30am to look at it.
He did not take the opportunity to gouge me with high costs and the need for a new unit.   The best thing I got from this was not keeping the unit running - but I found someone I could trust in the HVAC business.  Will only use Performance in the future and never again with the prior company ( who could not get to look at it for 3 days - and who I'm sure would have told me the unit was shot and needed to be replaced).    

I called them late in the day after a different company did not come through on their promise to render service. Performance H&C stepped in and took care of the problem speedily and efficiently. Their price was acceptable. Our serviceman was very friendly and courteous. And prompt.

Our heat went out Friday night. Called several places that were listed as having 24 hour service. Could not get anyone out and did not have any call backs on Saturday. Found Performance Engineering in the phone book. Contacted them, it was nice to have someone answer the phone and not get a machine. Mr. Jim Leigh came out he was very nice and had superior knowledge. We have radiant floor heating in our home and the system is about 50 years old. It was nice having someone that knew what he was doing and understood the system completely. Mr. Leigh took the time to explain to us what was wrong and gave my husband some pointers on maintaining our system. He was very conscientious and honest. We leaned that his company also does electrical. We will use them in the future and will highly recommend them to family and friends.

Jim was amazing, he is very thorough and fixed our problem. My home was a new build in 2006, every year we had to refill the Freon due to a leak we could not find. Polar heating and cooling, the main installer was out 3 times and every time they charged me for additional freon. Jim came over, spent a few hours to pinpoint the problem, solved it and even backed it up.

A +++ plus company, I have found my Heating and Cooling guy for life! Thanks Jim.
