I had had several heating and cooling companies try to determine why my basement was always so cold over the years. No one could tell me why. When I needed a new furance I interviewed 4 companies that I found on Angies List. Total Comfort and one other company discovered the cold air returns were not connected to the system. Andrew, from Total Comfort, explained about their products and the other furnance products in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt pressured and sensed that he had my best interests at heart. There was a very minor glitch related to the installation process. Both Andrew and Rodney went way above and beyond what was necessary to compensate me for any inconvience. I love the results. I have 4400 square ft of house that I heat. I like it cool and it felt very comfortable at 66 degrees during the day and 61 degrees at night. My January heating bill for December was $88 and my February bill for January was $67. My basement is no longer cold and I have even heat through out the house. I couldn't be happier with the product and the staff at Total Comfort

I had a problem with a geothermal unit. The first company that was brought in botched the repair and when they were called back they were "incorrect" as to the source of the problem. Their solution was that I should get a whole new system for $11,000.00, from them of course. Fortunately I called Andrew Taft at Total Comfort Resources. Right from the start Andrew's diagnostics abilities kicked in and he felt that the problem was not what I had been told. He could have seized on the opportunity to sell me things I didn't need, like the other company, but instead he took the time to educate me as to what was wrong and more importantly what was right. He worked diligently to properly identify the problem and fix it with the demeanor of a true professional. Andrew will not settle for "good enough" ... he will make sure that the repair is perfect. When he lost a whole day's work because the parts supplier sent the wrong part that was his problem, not mine. He saw that the system was not set up properly after the other company worked on it, and he worked to see that it was adjusted properly to bring me the best performance that I could get. He saw that the first company had overcharge the system with coolant and he set it up properly as well. Andrew Taft and Total Comfort Resources are the best friend anybody could have if they need any type of heating or cooling work done. Professionalism, fairness and skill are the hallmarks for this outstanding company. I'll never deal with anyone else!

Our central A/C died on us in the late afternoon in July, when it was projected to be a very hot weekend. Based on Angie's List recommendations & their coupon, I called Total Comfort Resource LLC. The woman on the phone took down my information and was very professional, this was around 6pm. By 6:30PM Rodney, who was on-call, called me and said he'd be over within 2 hours. By 7:45PM he was there, checking over my A/C which was not functioning at all. He diagnosed the problem (a couple of ear wigs stuck somewhere they didn't belong) and got things going again. He was professional and I certainly appreciated the response time very much given the weather forecast!

Total Comfort came immediately to assess our problem, which had been identified by another company during a routine annual checkup of our furnace. TC called the manufacturer of our cracked heat exchanger and discovered it would still be under warranty, so they gave us a price for labor to repair the furnace. They also pointed out our options and we decided to go energy-efficient and replace the 17 year old equipment. All this was at the end of the week and by the following Tuesday, TC came to replace our furnace. The process began at 8:00 a.m. and the two technicians were finished by 3:00 p.m. (An overhead light got bumped during the installation and the technicians cleaned up the glass. They went right out at the completion of the work, bought replacement light bulbs and installed them with no prompting from us.) The next day, Andrew (who had originally come to give an estimate several days earlier) called to see how satisfied we were with the process and he promptly sent us some paper work to sign. Accomplishing that from our part, Total Comfort then sent in our applications for minor rebates from our energy providers, DTE and Consumers Energy. We are completely satisfied with the price and operation of our new furnace and will call upon TC again when future work/equipment are needed.

Excellent. Greg was friendly and helpful. I was not taken advantage of and he did a great job. They're even going to help look for a permanent fix to my problem and give me a call on Monday.

They came out and gave me a quote, but I haven't made a decision yet and have not had any work done yet. When they came to give me the quote, they were very professional. The guy who came took the time and took his shoes off before he came into the house or when he came into the house I think. He also scheduled the follow up meeting with me to go over his quote. He came in and he talked about what might go as well and what all stuffs can be accomplished and I think it was about a week later that he came back and won over his quote with me in person which I thought was unusual, but nice. He gave me an opportunity to talk about what he had written down. That was good. I would definitely recommend them. I would use the company for another quote in the future.

When my AC quit working, they were able to come check it out the next day - a Friday. The compressor wasn't running. The technician worked until he found the cause - a leak in the outside unit. This required a new outside unit. They found one and installed it on Monday afternoon. The Friday service call of over two hours did not cost anything because of doing the repair/replace. They did a very professional installation - better than the original installation.

I just purchesed a home and upon arrival on the hottest day of the year, the AC was completely frozen. Service came out the same day that I called and tested the air flow, cleaned it out, and filled it with refrigerant. Great job and cooled off quickly.

They found the source of the leak and fixed it. They were very professional. They showed us what they would be doing and made sure that we were comfortable with the process that they would follow to fix it. We are very happy with their work overall.

Total Comfort Resources did and excellent job for us. The showed up when they said they would, stayed within the time they said it would take, and they were right on the money with the estimate. I consider them to be very ethical and highly professional. I would have no problem at all recommending them to someone else.

They did an excellent job from start to finish, they showed up when they said they would be there and were done before expected. They left my house as clean or cleaner than when they got there and the new furnace is working exceptional. I would and have referred them to family and friends. Great job, GREAT PEOPLE!!
