I saw on Meijer.com hompage that if you signed up for a meijer.com account you received 1/2 off standard shipping. I went through process only to get email with promo code that said that you need to spend $75 or more to get this discount. So I called to say that it is misleading on website because it does not tell you that there is a minumum purchase requirement until after you go through all the steps already and get the email. The sales rep agreed and said to go through with order and then call back with order # and they will submit claim. So I did, when I called back I got another sales rep (of course) who refused to submit the claim or to let me talk to someone else... reasoning: i did not have the first sales rep.'s name and they can not retroactively give me discount. Further, she would not acknowledge that the website if misleading to consumers by not stating minumum purchase requirement upfront. Still got best deal, but believe that they should state "on orders of $75 or more" when advertising "Receive 1/2 off standard shipping when you sign up for meijer.com account." And if a customer calls after being told to call back, they should assume that the customer is right! why would i make this up? ugh!
