BIG BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE

I had no problems with the 2 guys that moved me into the unit in the fall.  This summer though.....The movers themselves were nice.  They were right on time, polite, and really hustled.  I never got their names though.  As they were unloading the van I watched them drop a few boxes.  They didn't tell me about it unless they knew I had seen.  When I asked, they admitted it.  One mover also broke a kitchen chair as he was bringing it in.  One of the back spindles just snapped right out.  I get it....stuff breaks during a move sometimes.  I wasn't overly upset because there was a section in the contract regarding broken items.  The lead mover told me that Scott would contact me in a few days regarding the broken chair, and any other damage I might find during unpacking.  I did have 1 other box with a china tea set, and almost every item was broken.  I waited for a week, then called the company myself, since I hadn't heard from anyone.  It has now been 3 weeks, and I have called 5 times.  Every time I'm told that "he's busy."  I am beyond frustrated with the run around I'm getting.  WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE CONTRACT!  Stuff breaks, and I didn't think I'd move without something getting crunched, but I really thought they'd deal with it professionally.  Don't bother using this company, unless you really don't care about what you're moving.  I'm completely disgusted, and have warned my friends away.

My experience with them was good.  They were very helpful.  They came and packed up some of the rooms in my house.  They were professional and everything got moved safely.  Nothing got broken.  However, they vastly underestimated the amount of time and the truck space that they needed so it took longer than expected.  It was a little bit inconvenient because I have 3 children under 5.  If I need to, I would use them again in the future.
