Description of Work: Removed a large tree and a large evergreen. Trimmed shrubs and remove 2 large shrubs and "sucker" trees. Removed the stumps. They did the work quickly and efficiently. We were very satisfied with their work!

Description of Work: This was one of 3 tree service companies I called. One didn't call back, one wasn't up to the job and that left me with a 50 year old oak tree needing to be trimmed in May. Since oaks need to be trimmed when dormant and mine was beginning to leaf out, I figured I couldn't get the job done until late fall. When I called, the recptionist assured me that since it was an oak, they would do what they could to get someone out for an estimate within two days, then get it done quickly. Dean arrived within that time and when he said jobs are usually accomplished within two weeks I told him they had the job if they could do it the following week. Dean said he would ask the boss and I figured that meant I'd find out in a day or so. Instead, my doorbell rang a few minutes later & Dean said he'd talked to the boss and they would work me in the next week. On Tuesday of the following week, they showed up ready to get it done. Three men, a huge chipper, a bunch of chainsaws and a cherry picker made quick work of my trimming in about 75 minutes. The men were all customer service oriented. I went out to watch and as I returned to the house, one of the guys chased me down wanting to know if there was a problem, or if he could answer questions. We discussed how much trimming needed to be done and they went about it very professionally. These guys are trained both in tree trimming AND customer service. Near the end of their work, one of the guys rang the bell and asked if I wanted to keep any of the wood - he wasn't sure they'd have enough room to haul it, but assured me that if I wanted it, they would cut it short and stack it somewhere. I told him I'd have to think of someone who would use it. I returned a few minutes later and asked if they could cut it to fireplace size and was assured that would be done. As they were finishing up, he checked with me again, saying they had more room than they'd expected and would haul it away unless I was sure I wanted it. I told them to just go ahead and stack it and that's exactly what they did. Neatly! Everything was raked and cleaned up and off they went.

Description of Work: I had two ash trees fall on my deck while I was at home -the house wasn't damaged but I was afraid with any wind that there could be. Hortons came out and removed the trees off the deck/house and cut it up so I now have firewood as well! Delighted with them!

Description of Work: Several trees (6 at 35-40 feet tall) needed extreme pruning and 2 others were taken out. One of these trees' was 35 feet tall. They had all this work done in 1.5 hours. Within a day of contacting this company a consultant reached me and set up a time to come out and give me an estimate. Dean, was professional, knowledgeable and one of the nicest individuals I have met. Not only did they set up a date within a couple of days, but Dean had his crew cut up the downed spruce into fireplace size pieces for my husband's barn wood burning stove. They even hauled the wood to a convenient spot designated by my husband and there was no extra charge for this. They removed scrub that became exposed after the pruning and raked the yard cleaning up any debris that was created with the pruning. This crew was awesome and the price was the lowest I found. You need tree service, do yourself a favor and hire Horton Tree Service.

He told me that they were busy and couldn't come out for approximately 3 weeks and asked if that was okay with me. They actually were able to come out within 2 weeks of providing the estimate. They cut down several tree limbs, bundled up the tree limbs, and took them with them for disposal.

Description of Work: I hired Horton's to remove an old cedar tree in my backyard and to prune a large maple tree hanging over my deck to thin out sucker branches in the middle and any large limbs hanging over the roof and deck.
