Description of Work: After agreeing to purchase their service, they failed to ever show up.

Description of Work: Called for a quote on stump removal. Message was taken by a person. Never returned the call.

Description of Work: Removed an ornamental tree from my front yard and ground out the stump. Very professional and friendly staff. Responded quickly to my quote request, and actually came out a week earlier than I was originally told. The tree was removed quickly, and the stump ground out the same day. Everything was cleaned up and my yard was left in great condition. I would recommend highly.

Description of Work: Horton's came to my home to trim two large trees. They were friendly over the phone and took care of the work while I was out, so I didn't actually meet them. My initial quote was that the work would be done in two weeks, when in actuality, it was within 3-4 weeks. It was a busy time of year so I understand. The prices were reasonable. They did a great job and I will certainly use them again as well as recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Cleaned up few trees in yard and removed limbs. Backtrimmed burning bush and Japanese maple tree. Very good clean-up when they were through.

Description of Work: Horton's was asked for an estimate to trim the branches of a red bud tree that hung over the roof. The estimate was high and so I ignored it. Horton's called back and came out to meet me. We discussed at length what should be done and a new acceptable price was agreed upon. (8-5-13). On 8-9-13 I called the company to state I'd like to hire the work to be done. They said they'd contact me for a date in a couple of days. Additional "reminder" calls were made on 8-30-13 and 9-9-13 it was promised , on both occasions, that a return call to set up a date would come that or the next day. Today Is10-6-13 and they have never called. IT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FOR THEM NOT TO CALL AND SAY THEY DON'T WANT TO DO THE JOB!!

Description of Work: I couldn't be happier with the work performed by Horton's Tree Service. I had a large maple (maybe 70ft) that was starting to lose it's root support and had began to lean last winter after an ice storm. If it came down, it would've fallen on my garage or worse, my neighbor's roof. We decided to have it taken down before winter arrives again and called Horton's. It took a couple of weeks to get it scheduled, but today they came out and within a couple of hours the tree was down. Peace of mind that there will be no tree falling disasters this winter! We're keeping the wood for burning and they made sure they left it managable for us, close to where we will be stacking it. The clean up job they did was outstanding! We've had trees taken down by other companies in the past that did a fair job, but they didn't come close to the wonderful job Horton's did. As far as the cost, Horton's was by far the better price...A good three hundred dollars less than the last tree we had taken down that was the same size. I will be recommending Horton's to family, friends and neighbors that need tree service. Outstanding company! Thank you Horton's for a job well done.

Description of Work: Contacted for estimate. It was higher than others and took over 2 weeks to provide estimate. Didn't seem to really want the business. Didn't contract to them so can't comment on anything else.

Description of Work: Removed a very large beech and a weeping cherry. Also removed a bush as a courtesy to us. We can't say enough about what a terrific job they did. I would get them again in a heartbeat. Extremely professional.
