Good -except it took two service dates because the plumber didn't have the "stopper-thingee" with him in his truck - we hadn't called about that so I don't think that's necessarily a negative about the company. Both repairmen were quick, professional, and nice.

He was good, but a little expensive. He showed up on time and was very professional.

From Emily in the office to Derek and Mark who did the estimate and work I would highly recommend Cregger Plumbing. They were professional, prompt in their response time, called to say they were on their way, made sure the floors were covered up, cleaned up and made sure all my concerns were addressed. Derek even suggested I go on to Angie's list to use their $200 coupon. That was when I subscribed to Angie's List!

Job was more difficult to do than it might appear and involved restricted access from basement and also some repairs to brickwork. This is why I called Cregger, instead of doing it myself. Their plumber was very polite, efficient, punctual and professional. I definitely would recommend Cregger again to anyone.

David was very efficient and did the job very timely.

Scott showed up at the initial appt. ready to do the job I told him that I needed. Funny that before he arrived my water heater stopped working altogether. He was nice enough to come back on Sunday with a new water heater installed for the amount that he told me it would be. I was leaving for vacation on Tuesday. He assured me it would be done and it was. On time and professionally.

I called them and explained the problem and they came out on the same day. Great and friendly service.

On Monday July 8th at 9:00am Randy & Keith showed up to scope out our son's main sewer drain because due to the heavy rains his main sewer line backed up into the basement. Within a matter of a few minutes Randy could tell just by looking at his front lawn something was going on because the front lawn had a low spot in it... Not something I wanted to hear but Randy said, lets get the camera down the main drain and see what's really going. So, several minutes later as Randy and Keith prepared the camera Randy called me into the laundry area where the main open was, Randy started pushing the camera into the drain, at first the pipe looked excellent an I was starting to think maybe we only need it to be snaked, but several seconds later as Randy was getting closer to the pipe outside the you could see all the water still in the pipe and Randy said that was not normal. As the camera traveled further down the pipe the BAD NEWS was setting in, the pipe was coming apart at the seams, pipe was holding a lot of water. Also, BIG tree roots, along with the pipe had sunk on and angle toward the house keeping the water from flowing out to the main drain at the street. I was asking lots of questions and Randy was answering all of them. At this point Randy indicated to me just snaking the drain was not going to fix the problem. After about 10 minutes of more questions from me, Randy and I went out to the front lawn. Randy was showing me how the lawn was starting to cave in because water was getting outside the pipe and cause the ground underneath to wash away. So, at this point Randy suggested that the main in the front lawn be replaced. He took his time and explained the entire process to me. I was so disappointed until he threw the price by me as to what it would cost. WOW, when he told me the price I thought this was a lot less than I had thought it was going to be. CREGGER does offer low prices because I did have someone else quote this job after CREGGER and I can only tell you the other PLUMBING Contractor was $2000 more.... This was the second time we used Cregger Plumbing. Derek Mackie has established a GREAT company with excellent plumbers and outstanding pricing. I want to personally thank Randy & Keith for the great work even tho it was just a main drain scope. They were both very professional and answered every question I could think of at the time.

They were great. I had purchased a big deal and they came the same day. I had used them before, I had them out earlier to do a boiler repair. I used them again because I had developed a relationship with one person, but this time, I liked them better because they were more professional and we will request the same guy the next time we use them. The first time I used them, I wasn't impressed with them, but they seemed fair, this time I felt like they were more professional and fair. They made me feel like they were fair about the prices and he explained everything to me, about what was going to be done and what would happen.

It went very well. I have used them since, they are good.

Turns out Derek simply needed to turn a fews nuts and the problem went away! I have used Creggar plumbing for 29 years and am consistently pleased with their service. Prior to this problem they recently replaced our hot water tank. I did get two other quotes and Creggar's price was the best as was their warranty. I highly recommend Creggar plumbing.

On budget, on time and no regets. We have another project for them already!

I had initial problem reaching them thru my phone. Without getting into the problem it was NOT their fault it was the fault of my system, not theirs. Once connection was made appointment was quickly set up at my convenience. Mike showed up at the early time (1-5) accessed the two problems and resolved them with an hour. One was a simple replacement of a showered head the other had been a serious problem for over 25 years (not an exceration) with it being clogged drain. It now runs freely for the first time in a long time. Without Angie's List Coupon I could not have afforded this. He cleaned up and was gone. Thanks Mike, Angie and Creggar Plumbing

Dennis came out once at no charge to give us an estimate. For the service visit, he arrived early in the afternoon (we didn't get a phone call from the office as promised about his arrival time, but it worked out) and immediately went to work tightening down the kitchen faucet. He then spent the rest of the afternoon removing our old corroded bathroom fixtures and replacing them with upgraded ones, remaining patient with the tight space and old house quirks. A set screw was missing from one new faucet we'd ordered; he went to the trouble to pore through all the shipping boxes twice, but to no avail. Before leaving he explained to us exactly what we needed, and asked us to call him if we had any problems finding the screw at a hardware store. He was here longer than the originally estimated time, but charged us pretty much the estimate price. Despite the long workday and some frustrations he was pleasant and good-natured throughout. As it turned out we were able to get the correct screw at Home Depot and the bathroom is now beautiful and functional. We highly recommend Cregger, and Dennis is a gem!

Called them around 3:30pm the day before July 4th holiday and they arrived at our house by 4:30pm and it was fixed by 5:30pm. Our plumber was knowledgeable, courteous and explained things very well. Even let us use a coupon from angie's list after the fact. I was blown away that they came out so quick and right before the holiday. Would absolutely use them again.

Overall, very well. However, Residue was left around the rim of the faucet set, probably dried cement/caulk. Ask serviceman. he said he did not have the stuff to clean up. Suggested I use sponge and cleaner. I would have hoped that he would have all the necessary stuff to complete the job. I don't think I should have to cleanup after a serviceman.

They got it fixed and had no problems with them.

SUMMARY - They did as much as they could, but their equipment did not work, or did not work well. Their video inspection equipment was not working when they arrived. 1/3 of the sewer line got inspected. "ground radar" was unable to determine the path of the sewer. There were no sewer problems. After 35 years at this house I wanted the sewer inspected. They arrived on time. One experienced plumber and one assistant. Accessed the sewer access in the basement. Their sewer line camera did not work, AC power problem. I helped them fix their video inspection system. They tried video inspection from the basement access but a trap in the sewer prohibited that. So they tried the video inspection from the lawn access to the house and the sewer elbow prevented that. Then they tried the lawn access to the street and that worked. The sewer was open, no obstructions. They used "ground radar" to try to determine the sewer path but that did not work. They left behind a pipe wrench. I called them to come pick it up but they never did.

It turned out really well and I've used them again since that first time I used them with the Big Deal. We get a fair price and they are very professional and polite. The only thing that I didn't really like was that they made a cut in my drywall, but they can't repair it; I had to find another service provider for this. I wouldn't have minded paying Cregger for the repair, but it wasn't even option available to me. Everything else was fine.

Showed up earlier than scheduled replaced sump pump and installed a check valve. Whole experience from my initial phone call to work performed was very professional would definitely use this company again and recommend to others.

Derek, I did ask Randy about the web coupon as per the girl on the phone told me to when I asked her about it. She said to ask the tech. when he came out I did and he said that that was the best price I saw in my local paper the same thing done for $85 your cost $40 dollars more over charger not real happy. Kevin is awesome. If you get him you're golden. He had to fix a lot of the mistakes that the original team of 3 did. He get's an A and is the reason I gave out some fair scores above. I always enjoy contractors that work on your house at the same level they would work on their own. I got the opposite "path of least resistance" approach on the initial visit. On a non plumbing related issue I also want state that no less than 3 times I scheduled appts with these guys and then they either didn't build in enough time to do everything or didn't have the right parts with them. As someone who has to take off work or schedule around meetings I find this incredibly annoying because it affected 6 of my days vs. just 3. Final thoughts, they did correct their mistakes, but my final visit was 6/21. Original work was done 4/5. (in all fairness I was out of the country for 10 days during that 75 day period)
