Landscaping
I am not sure if the owner over booked himself or what. He was at least a month late, underbid the job and had to come back for repairs as well. Planning for the job was poor, we had to wait days for the landscaping rock, he originally brought in the wrong plants and his communication in general was pretty bad. He did a nice job when it was finally complete so he can do the work, getting there was the hard part and it took a lot of poking and prodding.

Over the years and having built my own home I have dealt with many contractors. Sadly, most of
which have been disappointing, such was “NOT” the case in my experience with Village Landscape
and Design of Fenton. With five quotes solicited, two were 45% high, the remaining three were
within $100 of each other, VLD was one of these three. VLD provided a cost estimate,
start date and time duration until completion. They started on time, worked until dusk,
offered suggestions, highlighted concerns, not resistant to and quot;last minuteand quot; requests,
considerate of adjoining property owners, finished on time and honored their cost estimate.
VLD had a consistently positive attitude throughout our relationship, I believe the owner
truly loves his craft! Yes, I do recommend them and they will be my first choice for
a landscaping contractor. I am very satisfied!0
