Description of Work: I must say, this place really lived up to its reputation for honesty and integrity. Jason said over the phone that he would look over my car, tell me the truth about it, and make sure I knew if anything it needed was critical before I use it for long distance travel. He and his team did exactly that. "Doc" examined the car, came back to the waiting room, and told me it would be a good idea to change two of the belts, one of which was cracking and the other of which was dry. My rear brakes, though badly worn can carry on doing 20% of the braking, and I can take care of them when I'm back in town. These guys treated me as an equal. They didn't, as did a dealership service salesman I recently visited, try to put one over on me because I'm not a car expert. Auto experts like these men are rare. It has been over 23 years since I met the last one, back in Chester, New York. I have been feeling as if I am being duped almost everywhere I've taken my vehicles for service. Not any more: I trust this crew to tell me the truth and help me plan ahead. Wow! | |Their prices were also significantly lower than the dealership, to which I'd gone only for convenience. Thank you Jason, Doc, and the others. I am delighted with your service!

Description of Work: All the reviews on Angie's List on this provider are true, the were honest and reasonable. Unfortunately they refereed me a towing company that charged me 173.00 foe a one way tow. Bill should get a new towing service.

Description of Work: Rt tie rod end and alignment(truthfully told me LH was OK for now. Exhaust leak - Difficult to get at EGR to exhaust metal tube and valve (on backside of each cylinder head to hot end exhaust pipe). one afternoon to inspect, call me , order parts, and one day to fix no problems. Just plan your trip around the bad after work Haggert Rd/I275/I96 rush hour traffic.

Description of Work: We had issues with two different cars and they took care of both for us. With one car the brakes weren't feeling right to them after they replaced them so they stayed late, after their stated closing time, on an evening before a holiday to fix it to their own satisfaction. We really appreciate it.

Description of Work: I had a sound like gravel under the hood which they couldn't find. Also, I went back because my muffler seemed to be hanging too low to the ground, but they assured me although it was low, it was on good. (I bought a few bags of white marbel for my garden, and when I hit bumps on the road coming home, I could hear the muffler scraping the ground..That's why I didn't review for you earlier). They were very nice and they gave me a couple of pages reviewing all they checked--which was a lot--so I certainly think the $39 was well spent (oil change,rotating tires, and they also noted several things I needed to check on later. I will go back.

Description of Work: Griffen is my go-to place for my car. Their estimates are pretty spot on and they let you know what needs to be done now and what can wait. I find them friendly, professional, helpful and reliable and they do their best to accommodate my schedule. The only time I had another cost estimate to compare to Griffen's, I found their price was similar. Judging by their popularity, they must be competitive and they do give a 10% Angie's List discount. I believe I am in good hands at Griffen and when they give me my car back, I know it is safe to drive and that's worth a lot.
