The owner looked on making sure the work was performed correctly. Was very considerate asking if i was able to pay as he did not want me to not eat for the week. They were on time, neat & clean. I had pre-paid the $99.00 on Angie's List so I had to do was sign the paper shake their hands and thank them again for a job well done. Really nice guys and very professional. Description of Work: Mike was a very friendly guy as well as the other men that came to do the job. Mike and his men checked the main bath, ran the water in tub,sink,and toilet They went downstairs to see if any water was leaking.They figured it out in no time that the problem was coming from the stink pipe on the roof, and were up on the roof and within 15 minutes the job was done.

 + 0 moreI had an inch of standing water in my basement due to a drain back up. Mike agreed to see me the same day I contacted him. Once on site it was realized that the drain blockage was well past what we all expected and Mike stayed on the job, retrieving longer equipment from a colleague in order to fix my issue. Mike, Gary and Ken's commitment to completing the job was impeccable. The job was finished in good time based on the circumstances and they didn't change the price last minute like so many others do. I will be calling Mike for all my plumbing needs in the future. Thanks again gentlemen!

 + -1 moreMichael Hairston came along with one his colleagues. Michael was very reasonable and professional in doing the plumbing repair job he was hired to do. He was on time and followed up with phone calls before coming. They spent some time trying to understand and diagnose the leak before they actually started. They did not hurry up with the job. Overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend them for future jobs to friends and will re-hire them if the need arises.
Description of Work: Repaired leaky bath tub causing leaks in office area below. Re-did piping for condensate for AC.

 + 0 moreI found Hairston on Angie's List, then coincidentally received a recommendation for them from my next door neighbor, who relies on Hairston for residential and business plumbing projects. We had a difficult problem with a gas leak in a 1890's era building. They came out twice, gave us several options for addressing the leak, respected our views and concerns, gave intelligent advice, and got the job done with a great crew. Conscientious, competent work at a great price.

Description of Work: I would love to be detailing the wonderful service that was done, but since there was none...I can't. I called to make an appointment for one of my rental flats. There was water going from one basement to another side of the basement in the pipes. Michael came out and took a look and we agreed upon date for him to come out. On the Thursday when he was due, he called the tenant and advised that he could not come because of what sounded like a personal appointment which we're convinced he had to know of before that day. There was another chance given when rental property next door was in need of service. I called, left a message along with my tenants phone number. He called and made the appointment with the tenant. When I called the tenant for a status update, he advised that Michael had not arrived when he said he was going to and had called early that morning (between 8:00 am & 9:00 am) advising that he was out of town and would arrange for someone else to come and would call back within 45 minutes. Obviously he didn't because I was talking to my tenant after 11:00 am. That was it for me...I told my tenant that if or when he calls back, to tell him we found someone else. I know that it's usually three strikes, but I'm only giving two! I'm in customer service so I do not tolerate such unprofessionalism. I really liked Michael's personality, but it takes more than that to impress most people who needs a service performed. It's funny that he made the comment that he was going to do a great job because he didn't want a bad review here.

 + 1 moreOur basement sewer drain was backing up. Mr. Hairston came out and snaked the drain to remove the flooded water. He found that we needed the trap replaced so he gave us a quote. We will have the trap replaced at a later time.

Used a "snake" to clear sewer line. Very courteous and professional. We could not be more pleased. We really appreciate that he could come out so quickly. Paid less than what was quoted so we could not beat the price he charged. Will definitely use again and highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreThey did an excellent job. I think it was Mike Hairston - he was very courteous and did a really good job for the money. I asked for quotes on a new furnace which he will put in a formal proposal. I'm definitely considering him for a new furnace. He told me some things about my previous humidifier and the new on works better already. He also made a larger pipe from the hot water heater and threw that into the price. The man does his job. He went above by adding the vent pipe and made me a good deal. He got sick and had to cancel but he did call me, some contractors don't bother to call.
Description of Work: Hairston Plumbing repaired and replaced a humidifier on my furnace.
