It went well. Their prices were reasonable for what was needed at the time.

The two gals, Mary and Meri, were great. They were like super dog lovers, so caring with my dogs while they were very ill. They treated them like they were their own children. It was amazing. They were prompt and professional. The company is quite pricey. If you dont connect well with one of the workers assigned, they will provide you with another worker.

They have different programs. They can come to your house and they can come for an hour and a half, an hour or overnight. I have been very pleased with them and they are very professional and it’s not just one person doing it. They have a group of people that is doing it and they’re bonded.  I felt secure enough that I could go away for a weekend and leave my dog. I have used them for the last 4-weeks. They will come and take her for a walk. The price is $16 for half hour $27 for an hour and I think overnight is $60. They will bring the mail in, walk them and feed them.

They are very caring and hands-on with animals. They took excellent care of my pets. I will definitely use them again and again. They have proven to be very dependable. The lady who walked them was excellent at handling them. My pets are like my kids, so I wanted to make sure they were taken care of. They are price competitively. I would give them an A+. They write down all of the information about your pets, so they have it for the next time. I felt that they could trust them in my house.

Cleaned the bird cage and relined ..new bird food and nuts and fresh spaghetti. Covered him up for the night...Fed the two dogs..ran the big one in the back Yard .I felt the company brougt in a respnsible representative to take care of my babies...I will get the company again..Everything was handled Very professional. .Good job!

We have used Gentle Pet Protectors for several years and are very grateful to Lisa and her crew for the caring services she provides for our cat. Prior to the vacation time on the initial visit Lisa makes a home visit and records all the pertinent info about the pet and the house. She's very detailed about health and behavior and really gets to know the animal prior to the owner leaving. If other employees will be visiting they make a home visit as well. We usually have two visits per day and whoever makes the visit leaves a note about how things are. I often also get a text or photo to reassure us that things are fine. I would not be able to go away without worry without Lisa and her workers. Plants look better when Lisa takes care of them than when we are home! Most of all, our pet seems completely at ease and happy when we return. When others were watching him, he often seemed actually depressed by the time we got home. So hats off to Lisa and Gentle Pet Protectors-they do a fabulous job and I highly recommend her services.

I think everything went pretty well for the first time dealing with my Parrot..I came home and all his needs where met and everything was done like i had explained...felt very comfortable ..Knowing that he would be takken care of..I will use them again.

an accident After talking to several local pet boarding and pet sitters it seemed to me that they were set up to take care of canines much more than felines. Those places that did cater to cats enclosed them in a room about 6’ x 8’ x 8’ room, which I thought was too small.
While at the veterinarian’s office I picked up Gentle Pet Protector’s pamphlet, read it and called them the next day. I spoke with Lisa, the owner, and asked her some screening questions , prices, and who would be taking care of my pets. She answered all my questions, we set up an appointment to meet with each other, and for her to meet my cats and to get acquainted..
On the day of the appointment Lisa brought along Michelle, who would be the sitter. I was given Michelle’s background and was pleased to hear of her extensive pet care history. I then gave both Lisa and Michelle a tour of the house, introduced them to all four cats, which Michelle immediately picked up and began petting and bonding with, and then showed Michelle and Lisa all the places that the cats like to hide. I gave Lisa all the information she required which included pictures of the cats, medical history, behaviors and habits of each cat, and a house key.
I left for three and a half days. I called on the second day, around one of the times that Michelle was to be there but there was no answer, so I left a message ...I set the recorder to answer on the fourth ring. Upon hanging up Michelle called back and gave me a report on how things were going
Upon arriving home I found all the wet food dishes cleaned, dried, and stacked neatly on the kitchen counter. All four litter boxes and trash cans were also clean. Michelle even left the porch light and the living room light on knowing that I would not be home until after dark. So very sweet of her to do! She also left me a hand written note on the feedings, activities and behaviors of the cats and her what she did on each visit.
I will definitely use Gentle Pet Protectors the next time I need a pet sitting service. The service is outstanding, the price is fair, and they are very professional.

I have hired Gentle Pet Protectors on many, many occasions. It is always an excellent, positive experience. I have a great sense of peace of mind when Lisa and team are caring for my pets - I have no worries when I'm away and they are in Lisa's care (and trust me, I can worry about stuff with the best of them!! :and gt;) no worries here, however!)
