The overall experience went very well. They came in and said they would be done in a day. When they started getting late, they ran into some trouble, and they actually brought in the second crew about 3'o clock to get it done by 7'o clock that night. They were a little more than a couple of other quotes that I had. It was tough to figure out because Holland Heating and Cooling quoted a smaller unit for the house, and the other guys quoted in that I need a bigger one; but it was about the same price. They were a little bit more expensive; but they did a better job explaining that the unit, I had was bigger for my house, and it would cost me more money. They were incredible. At the end of the day, I couldn't even tell that they were in the house as everything was neat and clean. There were a couple of things that were lying loose over the house since 40 years. They just fixed, tightened up, and pointed out; but there was no charge anything to do the work. The salesman was out on Monday, and they installed it on Tuesday. They said they would be there at 8 in the morning, and they showed about 7.20. Their professionalism was a top notch.

Furnace would come on but would not heat. Holland Heat came out same day and fixed it promptly the same day. They even drove to pick up the part and still completed it the same day. Very professional workmanship and my next furnace will be from Holland Heating.

Over all I would say I am very happy with the work that was done. The installers were fast and professional and went out of their way to insure my satisfaction. What I was unhappy with is the original unit I ordered could not be installed due to the way my house is set up, so we had to change the unit. I had wish the salesman had known this before we ordered the unit. It took 2 times coming to my house before a unit was installed. And to make matters worse I had to wait another week which made me have to suffer 95 degree days with no A/C. Even though they had the equipment before a week.

Salesman was responsive to what I wanted to acheive with a new HVAC system. Spent the time required to present the equipment, go over what would be involved in the job, and answer all my questions. Ran calculations based on home size and insulation to properly size system. Installation was scheduled around my timeframe. Installation crew showed up about an hour late, but with all required equipment, parts and tools. They were polite, professional, and respectful of my home and property. Throughout the installation process they took time to answer my questions and explain operation and maintenance of equipment to me. Total installation and startup took 10 hours. Crew stayed late and brought in an extra crew at the end of the day to make sure job was completed in one day. Hauled away old furnace and all packaging and debris from installation. AC unit had shipping damage on cover. Installer showed damage to me as soon as discovered, showed me that it did not effect operation. Installed damaged unit with my approval to get AC operational, and ordered replacement part that day.

When Chuck came to my house he gave me an estimate to replace my furnace and a/c. After he spoke with the company owner, I showed him another estimate that I had from a different company and they both agreed to match the other estimate. They were supposed to replace my a/c and a 70,000 btu furnace. Well Chuck being the sales man that he is wrote up the contract and put down a 60,000 btu. I showed him this mistake and he stated the new furnace with 60,000 btu is more than enough to heat my house. Well, I tell you was I DUPED. This furnace was replaced in December of 2007 and the whole winter I could not get my house warm enough. I had to sit around with long johns, long sleeve shirts, socks and slippers and turn the furnace up to 79 to get it to 73 in my house. After pointing this out to the company and setting thermometers all over the house (and they all read the same) they sent out a service man. When he arrived he attempted to set my thermostat and called another man for advise. After they spoke the other guy on the phone told my serviceman my thermometers were wrong and it was not the fault of the furnace. I tell you, now 4 thermometers are wrong, I don't think so. Never will I do business with this company again. I hope others read this. Even when the service man was at my house attempting to fix the problem he pointed out to me and I quote " boy this house sure is cold for the tempture you have set, and my feet are getting cold" he had on no shoes while he was servicing my thermostat.

It went amazingly well. Not only did we get a REALLY GREAT price after some negotiating, we got a 95% efficient furnace installed the same day to boot. The installer was on time (6pm on a Friday) and finished the job the same day. I was actually really impressed with their employees. One installer showed up at first, but two more showed up, I guess after they finished their installs. They were done at about 9:30pm. Two very, very minor things: 1) They left the wood chunks from where they had to create exhaust vents through the wall of the house. Not a big deal really, and I'll give them this one as it was pretty dark when the finished. And honestly, it was only 5 or 6 pieces. Inside was spotless. 2) Had to rehang the ceiling tiles where they removed them to install the exhaust pipes. Not a big deal, but a little old lady would likely have trouble putting these back up herself. Barring these two minor issues it was BY FAR the best experience with a repairman to date.

The salesman pushed to do the job the next day. I wanted to wait one week to use up most of the fuel oil before switching. I was talked into the next day. The next day, one technician showed up but was unequipped to do the job. He consulted with me on a better time, and tried for almost two hours to get his boss to approve. It was his actions that saved the sale. He made all the arrangements to do the job properly on a time table of my choice. When he returned the next week he had two helpers, and they completed the job as promised. It is two weeks later now, and the furnace is working perfectly. I am pleased to have the old oil tank out of the house, and with scrubbing, have gotten rid of the smell. It was a very difficult job to get the tank out of my basement, but the crew managed to do it with only minimum scratches and bumps. I have not gotten a follow-up call from Holland, but it seems the technicians are better at customer relations than the sales staff.
