Now the reason the water was off was because during the water heater flush the supply valve broke. There was a leak and the technician tried to tighten the packing nut and it split the packing nut. I didn't blame him, these things happen, and I was willing to pay a reasonable fee to have it replace, the quoted cost, $149!! I said no way is that happening. I know roughly the cost of the valve and the time involved to install and that's ridiculous. That was more than the entire pre-paid cost of the the visit. We went back and forth for awhile and they ended up just replacing it for free. I offered to at least pay for the valve but they said not to worry about it. I appreciate the final outcome, I just wish we didn't have to go thru the back and forth to get there. Not even sure my water heater got the full flush I was hoping for.
The furnace was great. He checked over everything and I have no concerns. He even helped me sniff out a couple small gas leaks.
Very disappointed that a company would send someone out and tell me it does not work and then try to sell me something. I wonder how many customers fell for that trick. I guess I should have used a water softener company instead a heating and Cooling company.

The technician should have diagnosed the water softener and given you a price to repair it. He should have also offered to provide you with a price for a new water softener. Then, knowing all of your options you could have made the decision to either repair or replace the system. I have discussed this with the technician to ensure that this will never happen in the future. Once again, I am very sorry and I thank you for taking the time to write your review.
