R&M Management

I didn't go very well. One adult man and two teenagers arrived to perform the work. The adult removed the ground cover. One teenager disposed of the clippings and pulled weeds. The 2nd teenager however required frequent direction and was mostly unproductive. The actual time on the job was about 3 hours which I was told satisfied the 8 hours coupon I had purchased. The adult worker said they could complete the work if I'd pay for it. I gave him the go ahead. Thirty minutes later he informed me they had an "emergency" and had to leave immediately. The office would call us to reschedule. We finally called them after a week of not hearing from them were rescheduled for July 7th. On July 7th they were a no show so we called their office and were told the truck broke down. I asked why we weren't called but received no explanation. The person I spoke with apologized and rescheduled us for July 14th. On the 14th the same crew arrived several hours late and very surly. The adult crew member informed me he was unable to prune the Rose of Sharon because he didn't have the proper equipment. They instead would cut back the bushes around our air conditioning unit and weed the beds in our back yard. The work performed on the bushes was fine however the bed weeding was poorly done with many weeds remaining. The beds on our property line weren't touched at all. The crew was on site during for the second visit for about 1.5-2 hours. On January 20th, 2017 I received a bill from R&M for an additional $157.00, which frankly I'm in no hurry to pay. The 8 hours of work for $299 amounts to $100/hr. not the 38$/hr. I anticipated. This is my first poor experience with and Angie's list recommendation Additional Information. 1. While weeding the ground cover on the first visit they killed two small rabbits hiding in the bed. 2. During the first visit the Adult crew member asked my wife to drive to the store and buy him cigarettes. 3 On the second visit the crew left without telling us so there was no opportunity to review the work.
