They were sh***y, terrible. They told me were going to come and give me a free estimate and then they showed up, two of them, looked like they were from the hell's angels and asked for $150 and weren't going to leave my house. Thought I was going to have to call the cops. They did nothing. Then I went online and they did this to a lot of people. Then mechanical leans on the people's home if they don't pay. I wrote a letter to the attorney general.

Our Jacuzzi tub on the second story was leaking and the water went down into the ceiling of the 1st story.  I called him and described what happened and he was available to come out that day.  I should have discussed how much the same day assessment of the problem would cost because I did not realize it would be $150.  He came to the house and inspected the tub at the appointed time.  He then told us there was nothing he could do because he can not work on Jacuzzi products. ( It is some odd agreement Jacuzzi has with the plumbing world ).  I wish he would have been more up front about the same day fee and that he is unable to attempt repairs on Jacuzzi products.  $150 is a lot of money to charge someone for less than an hour of time spent, and ultimately not being able to be of assistance.

I dug up and exposed the pipe to be replaced. Fred came over and gave me an estimate to replace the pipe. He gave me an hourly rate plus parts. He failed to tell me that he was going to charge me an additional $120 for driving 4 miles to get the parts. Also, he charged a trip charge on top of that. The plumber that he sent out was nice. He did the job in about 45 minutes. They charged me for 4 hours of service. All in all the job was completed and I am happy to have a sewer line again. I learned to ask about extra charges and trip fees when I hire people now.
