WaterBGone Basement Waterproofing

I called Water'b'Gone to schedule an appointment to receive an estimate to fix a leaking problem from behind the fuse box after a heavy rain (like what we received during the Great Detroit Flood of 2014). They were courteous in scheduling the appointment and was punctual arriving to the appointment. Apparently, my problem is quite common when electricians don't wait for the foundation hole be plugged before they install their equipment. Joe was kind enough to explain to me how to fix the problem myself or if I'd prefer, he could come back and fix it. I haven't decided if I'm brave enough to conquer it myself or not, but I would trust Joe and/or his company to do it. He appeared to be quite knowledgeable with waterproofing basements and best of all he was local (to me).

I contacted Joe when I discovered the problem. He came to the house within 24 hrs and discussed the procedure. H e even rearranged a previous apt to meet me since I was leaving the house in 2 days.Joe said the work would be done on July 28th and it was done on the 28th. My sister watched the work being done and complimented on how the workers cleaned up the area, including washing the neighbors drive way. Thanks to Joe and his crew I don't have a leak in the basement anymore.

The most excellent company I've had was Water'b'Gone. He did it promptly and did it in a right way. They were efficient, they did everything they said they're going to do and the brothers named Joe and Charles don't let them talk on the phone. They were just great and wonderful. They got the job done fast and reasonable.

Excellent from start to finish! The Estimate: We dealt primarily with Joe Safie. Joe was able to come out for an estimate next day. He was thorough, professional, courteous, and honest. He brought pictures of previous jobs, carefully explained his procedures, and discussed options with us. We had a total of six estimates done for this work, and Joe had the best price of them all, ranging from $650 to $1750 lower than the others. Quite a difference! Other companies tried to sell us on expensive but unnecessary additional protections and threatened not to warranty their work if we refused. Joe provided a lifetime warranty without any issue. Joe was by far the best guy to deal with of the bunch. He was straightforward, efficient, and employed no manipulative sales tactics. If slimy salesmen make your skin crawl, Joe is the guy to deal with. The Work: The guys did a great job! They were in and out in under four hours, including clean-up. They even filled the bonus crack that had been hiding behind some shelves during the estimate for $150 (less than half the price it should have cost if it had been noticed during the estimate). They were extremely respectful to us and our stuff. They laid down runners over carpet and covered everything near the work. They were able to work around the inner walls so we didn't have to rip them out (yay!), and they not only disconnected and reconnected the washer and dryer for us, but left them in a better condition then they found them. The wall looks great, and we are so relieved to have a dry basement! While they were here, we also had Joe give us an estimate for installing a drainage system in our back yard, and will definitely be using this company again in the future.

The repairmen were very efficient and arrived when they said they would. They laid down drop cloths and cleaned up completely. They explained each thing they were doing. I would use this company again and recommend them.

They have not finished their work many months later. One of the brothers stated that the other brother would come back to install a new sump pump to finish the job. We have not heard from them. They owe us a sump pump, and a refund from work paid for but was cancelled.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the work completed and value of the service. I had been getting some water coming up from where the floor meets the wall. At first it was just a small amount, but over the last two years it had been getting progressively worse. Joe, one of the owners, came out for a free estimate. His approach was excellent and not a sales pitch. He just let me know what and how they would complete the job, and to give them a call when I'm ready. Not pushy and didn't take up a lot of my time. His quote of $30/ft was FAR better than the 5 other quotes I had received. Scheduling was quick and the job was completed on time. They pulled the permits for me and both the rough and final inspections passed on the first visits. Other companies suggested I didn't get a permit. While this isn't any major construction project I've seen enough Holmes on Holmes to know contractors talking you out of a permit is a red flag. There hasn't been any large storms since the work was completed, but there was some hard rain that normally would have caused a leak; however, I've been leak free.

The process went very well. The technician came on time and did the whole process he came to do in the basement. We were happy with his professionalism and techniques he used to stop the water from seeping into the basement.

Came out to my house and gave me a knowledgeable free estimate on the proper method to waterproof my leaky basement. They completed the work within three weeks of the estimateand the job was finished in about 7 hours. Water B Gone was by far the cheapest company of the four estimates I received. One company even tried to charge me 4 times the price for similar work. The quality of work was excellent and the team of about 6 men were extremely respectful, intelligent and appreciative of my business. It has been two weeks since the work has been completed and my basement has been dry. the lifetime warranty which the company extends is nice to have and I feel very good about the job. The new concrete they poured looks very nice and blends in with the rest of the concrete floor in the basement. They cleaned up everything when finished with the job and even touched up a few other things around my house free of charge. They showed extreme care about me and the job and its obvious this company is not out to screw you, they really do care about the customers and the business' reputation. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs they're basement waterproofed. Don't let the cheap price tag steer you away because the service and quality of work is impeccable. I am writing this the day of my service completion so I will need to report back in 6 months. They did interior perimeter waterproofing with sump pump, and I hope that keeps the basement dry. In addition to the waterproofing, they installed several steel stanchions and steel beams in my basement to strengthen the foundation overall and level the first floor which was sagging and not level. The house is nearly 100 years old and a prior owner added onto the second floor, which created too much weight for the existing center beam in the basement to handle. The center beam was sagging a couple inches. I am seeing significant improvement, and the house seems more structurally sound than before.

Joe came out and made an initial assessment of the work that needed to be done. The building basement had been showing increased water seepage for the last few years, but we had not done anything about it. When we called Joe he arranged to come out quickly and was very thorough and complete in his estimate. His price was competitive with 2 other bids -- and his reviews on Angie's List were outstanding. Joe and his crew arrived as scheduled to do the two day job. He startled the housekeeper by using dropcloths on all the stairwells and walkways, keeping our building spotless. Work needed to be done both inside the basement and from the outside foundation. The workers were hardworking and courteous to everyone in our building. After the work was completed, the only sign that Water B Gone had come to our building was the fact that there was no more water. Everything was left neat and clean in the basement, and the outside landscaping had been restored. In fact, Joe stopped by several days later to make certain that everything was dry. Not only were we happy -- we were very happy and would definitely call them again to work in our building. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

ONE OF THE OWNERS CAME OUT ON TIME .VERY POLITE GAVE ME A COPY OF HIS INSURANCE,LICENCE.THEN SHOWED WHAT THEY WOULD DO AND GAVE ME A LIFETIME GUARANTEE.THEY CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY ON TIME AND THE2 PEOPLE THAT CAME WERE GOOD WORKERS AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB.THEY ALSO WS=AS VERY POLITE.I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.

Joe came out within 24 hours of our call to him to provide estimate. He reviewed the basement walls, identified leaks from rod holes. identified two corner cracks where walls met; identified an older crack that had been repaired years before that was showing signs of wearing through. He provided a detailed estimate; answered all of our questions; agreed to do some additional work on exterior of wall below the basement windows to stop any water leakage, which entailed installing a water barrier below windows about 2 feet below ground level. Joe was very understanding when we told him we had one more estimate to get (following Angie's advice to get 3 estimates before making decision). There was no high pressure (like we experienced with one of the other contractors we had come out). When we did decide to go with Joe, we called him and asked for clarification of some of the work to be done. He took his time answering all of our questions to our satisfaction and we scheduled the work for within a week of that call. The crew arrived on day of job earlier than scheduled and immediately got to work. They were courteous and hard working and cleaned up after themselves. The job took about 5 hours. Our experience was extremely satisfying and we would definitely recommend them to anyone. Although it has only been a couple of weeks, we have not had any water problems thus far. Because this is a home we are planning to sell, we wanted to spend a reasonable amount on the repairs and with Joe's transferable lifetime warranty on the work done, we felt we got the best by going with him.

It was a wonderful experience. His quote came in below others and backed with a lifetime warranty. He took the time to explain things to me, explained what they were going to do, the steps and how long it would take.

My basement wall was leaking and I tried to fix it. It was too much for me to do, so I called Joe at Water 'b'Gone. He came out and looked at the problem and told me my options. He tried to fix it from the inside, but it was too wet. Joe thought that it would best to fix it from the outside. His crew started the outside job on Sat. 1/26/2013 at 8:00am and finished at 11:30am. They did a great job and I'm totally satisfied.

Joe and his brothers and crew are tremendous. I originally checked out several approaches to fixing our basement problem. This approach made the most sense. I had Joe look at the problem almost a year prior and he explained what he would do and how he would do it. When I was finally ready to proceed I called Joe and he said "let me come back out and we'll review it". He confirmed everything we had talked about previously and kept the price the same. The main thing to know is that throughout this process he never, ever tried to pressure me or push. His favorite line is "whenever you're ready". Took a day and a half total to do the job. These guys know what they are doing. The best part of all? You would not know that several guys for 2 days had jack hammered concrete and lugged it up through our family room and living room and then hauled fresh concrete up and down the stairs to fill back in. Clean, clean, clean! They communicate, ask questions and are extremely polite and respectful of you and your home. I came to find them through a referral from a business associate of mine who went on and on about how pleased he was with their service. He was dead on. The job has only been completed for a couple days and proof of it working is yet to come. Based on the process and the character of this company, I'm betting my problem is solved.Highly recommend.

I called and asked for an estimate. They asked if I had had any estimates already. When I said yes they asked if I had poured walls or block walls in my basement and how many cracks needed to be repaired. I told them we had poured walls and 3 maybe 4 cracks and at least 1 rod hole that were leaking. The explained that cracks were $325 each and they would fix up to 10 rod holes for free and would even show me how to repair any future rod holes myself. They explained their warranty in detail. After speaking with my husband I called to schedule. They said that they were going to be in my are the next day and if they could come then they would do 4 cracks for $900 and still fix up to 10 rod holes for free. We agreed on the next day and they said they would be to my home between 2 and 4pm. The next day they called at around 1pm and said they were in route and would be here in about 20 minutes. When they arrived they explained exactly what they were going to do and asked if we had any questions. They were in out and done working in 2 hours. Very friendly, professional and efficient. I will hire these guys for any future repairs I need! Thank you!!

Had them in for repairs on the basement, there were water and wall buckling problems. Their quote came in well under the others we had come give estimates. Joe sat at my kitchen table and gave us options explained everything about them. We opted for the inside water repair and the installation of 6 support I-beams for the wall buckle. They showed up when they said they would, covered the stair carpet and entry tile, blocked off the stairway entrance so no dust would get upstairs, and started the job. They returned the next day and finished. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results and the professionalism of the crew. I would recommend them to anyone

What is good about them is that they do inside waterproofing. My room is so small that they were able to do it in a day and so far it is working. They were all professional and nice but they were very assertive, which could be an issue with some people. I am very pleased with their work. The price was fine with me because I thought that I would have to spend more than that.
