we chose a deal offered by Angie's list that I received in my email, letting them know the best dates we had available for the cleaning our ducts. We were contacted within 48 hours of choosing the deal and the provider, Sani Clean, was able to accommodate one of our dates and given a 2 hour window (1:00 - 3:00 pm) in which the workers would be here.
The owner contacted us the day before the service to confirm all was a go. The day of the service 2 people showed up at 1:00 pm. They explained what they would be doing. They put covering down on our floors to protect them. They put coverings over their shoes. They were fast, efficient. They showed us before and after pictures and showed us a demo of how they did the work as they were doing it.
They had to cut a small hole in a duct work in the basement to do some of the work.
They were punctual, fast, efficient, friendly. The air conditioning runs colder than before we had the service done. Could not have asked for anything better.

Very professional and personable. I'm usually uncomfortable letting people in my house, but the co-owner and his partner were very friendly and put me at ease. I can't believe how gross our ducts were...and all the toys, food, etc. they got out.

I recently moved into a 1953 ranch built on a slab with the furnace in the garage. Eric showed up with a younger guy to clean the vents, which desperately needed it as the previous owner had cats and the hair was everywhere.
They were friendly and worked relatively quickly, but left a surprising mess. From what I saw and what they told me, they cut a hole in the side of my main vent and basically just suck everything out of the vents with a big vacuum that's on the truck, then run some tools through the vents that dislodge the gunk that's stuck to the sides of the vents while continuing to vacuum it all into the truck. The process also kicks some of the debris back out the other vents back into the house, and I was kind of surprised that they didn't even attempt to clean that part up - I had to vacuum after they left. Keep in mind that I'm a single guy in my mid 20s, so if something's dirty enough for me to get out a vacuum it isn't just a little bit of dust. This was dead insects, dirt, chunks of whatever was in the vents, etc. in all 3 bedrooms (laminate hardwood) and the living room (carpet). They also removed the 3 furnace filters from my old furnace, which I appreciated as they looked like they hadn't been changed in 10 years, but then just left them on the ground next to the furnace in the garage, along with all of the dust and dirt that came out with them. They also had to move the dining room table to access a vent but weren't going to move it back until they saw me start to do it by myself.
I'm happy with the overall service, although I didn't get to see any before and after pictures because my vents were too small for them to get their arms down into with their phones, so I'm just going off of the fact that what I can see looks much, much cleaner. I don't know that I would go out of my way to find them again if I ever had vents cleaned again, but there wasn't anything for me to say "avoid them" and I would recommend them with the heads up about the mess.

"I apologize for the mess in your home. Most homes have little to no mess. Some homes do however have a mess now and then. We generally try to clean up what we can. The truth is that a slab house is always a compromise for air duct cleaning. In a perfect world, we cut holes in the ductwork in the basement. In a slab home we have to work with what is presented. They came in, explained everything with pictures and how it would look after. They also had us come down to show us everything they would do and how they would clean. They were done in 1 hour and after seeing the pictures of the final results, it was clear we would be in good shape for 3-4 years. Both Eric and Nate were very efficient and helpful. I would recommend them to my neighbors.

Very neat. Showed me before and after pictures of the ducts. Also showed me the caked dust that was on the duct piece that was cut cut of the duct to hook up the vacuum. Protected my walls and carpets from the vacuum hose..

This experience was EXCELLANT! The owner of Sani-Clean and his apprentice came to the house right on time. They were professional and very pleasant. They took the time to explain exactly what they were doing, and what was going to happen. They were patient with all of our questions. When the work was done, no mess was left behind. They were very courteous regarding our senior dog. I give these folks an A+ and would definitely use them again.

We scheduled the appointment on Friday evening (5/29) and they showed up on-time Monday (6/1) afternoon to do the job. We were very impressed with their ability to schedule the job so quickly, as we were concerned that it might take a week or two to get on their schedule.
The first thing they both did upon arrival was put on booties to keep our floors clean. Their concern about keeping out floors clean continued the rest of the job, they put blankets under all the tubing they used. They walked through the house with us to make sure they knew where are the vents were located. Once they were sure of the locations we took them down to the furnace to get them started.
We did have one issue ... our return vent did not have any access to it. A recent basement remodel left it hidden behind drywall. Instead of refunding the pre-paid amount and leaving they took the time to walk us through the options available to us. We went ahead and let them cut a 14" x 14" hole in the drywall to access the return. We will install an access hatch ourselves to fill in the hole -- which means we'll be able to have the cleaning done again in the future.
Both men were professional and polite. They walked us through all the stages of the cleaning. Going as far as to have us come down and watch the start of the vacuuming. I must say if you have any doubts about getting your ducts cleaned I'd say those doubts are unfounded. Watching the volume of dust and other particulates that flew out of the duct and into the vacuum hose was amazing.
When the job was done they showed us the after photos -- the ducts were completely clean -- and picked up after themselves. You'd never know we had housework done as they left no trace behind.
We bought a pre-paid Angie's List deal and after the work was finished they didn't ask for any more funds, despite having to open that access point for us. I could not be any happier with the job that they did, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their ducts cleaned.
