My wife and I have to echo and earlier July 2018 review. Our kitchen and three bathrooms were outdated and decrepit. We met with a few contractors and walked away feeling they were not enthused and, "going through the motions" regarding the project. After our initial meeting with Howard, we knew we found the right person/company for the job. What impressed us from the start was he his interest in helping us realize our vision for the remodel. Throughout the entire process, he came by most days to inspect the work performed. Issues invariably came up or were uncovered and Howard addressed them immediately. We asked him to redo our staircase and couldn't be happier with the end result. Another thing that impressed me was that the crews he employs have been with him for several years if not decades. The kitchen and bathrooms are amazing and we love the look of our home. We plan on hiring again for another project in the near future. Highly recommend.

At the time my husband and I hired Designs in Glass, we planned to sell our house once the renovations were complete. Over the years, we had grown so frustrated and unhappy with everything that was wrong with the house - it was outdated, had been neglected, there were electrical issues that were never properly repaired. Our house didn't feel like home. It was an uncomfortable, unattractive money pit. After years of dealing with marginally competent contractors/repair persons, we met with Howard at Designs in Glass. From our first meeting, Howard listened to what we wanted and he understood our vision and goals. He offered fantastic ideas based on his experience and expertise but was not ever pushy. Throughout the renovations, Howard was our exclusive point of contact. He was always accessible and responsive. He came to our house frequently, making certain all of the work was performed in excellence. He has a fantastic eye for detail and for the big picture. He left no aspect of our renovations unattended. Howard ushered us through the renovation process so that it was not at all stressful, and was actually enjoyable. Howard and his company are professional, experienced and absolutely reliable. Designs in Glass delivered everything we wanted beyond our expectations - including (but not limited to) our flooring, staircase, beautifully constructed built-in cabinetry in our family room, kitchen hardware and granite kitchen and bathroom countertops. Finally, our home is beautiful and feels like home. The work was completed nearly two years ago - so I've lived with it for some time. Everything has held up impeccably and I love the renovations today as much as I did when they were brand new. My husband and I have decided not to move and we actually entertain again. The renovations were well worth every dollar spent. Our upstairs bathrooms need to be renovated (the house was built in the 1970s). As soon as we're ready to proceed, we're calling Howard at Designs in Glass. No question.

The entire project from start to finish was done very professionally and remodeling was excellent. Howard is always on top of everything related to the project and assisted the customer in making decisions on all options available (he even went to tile shop with the customer to help make those selections). He communicates frequently as to the current status of all work, what still needs to be done (even on the customer's part in making decisions), and provides realistic time estimates for work completion. There are never any surprises on work or costs. His workers are first rate, friendly, and always willing to make sure the customer is satisfied. Howard is fun to work with, open and honest. It was a pleasure to work with him and his workers.

Very satisfied with my experience with Designs in Glass. We were in need of a Euro-Style glass enclosure for our shower. The design of the shower is a "Neo" style with some weird angles. Spoke to Howard on the phone. He was accommodating in working around my schedule and set me up with Ken who came to the house, measured for the custom glass, quoted me a price and promised installation within about two weeks. The installation was performed as promised in a timely fashion by two professional installers. Despite the challenge of the crazy angles which made the design and installation a bit more challenging, we are very happy with the end result. I'll update in the future after we've had a chance to use it for a while. We did spend the extra money for the Guardian Glass protection. Hopefully it was money well spent.

Production took a while, but nothing unreasonable. Maybe two weeks, although it was a while ago, and I don't remember exactly. When they delivered it, it fit perfectly in our slightly out-of-square old house. Installation took an hour or two, and I think we couldn't use the shower for a day or two, to let the sealant dry. They offered, and we ordered, a special coating on the glass that prevents water beading up on the glass. Slightly expensive (about $250, I think) but worth it. No water spots on the glass and no using chemical cleaners. You just wipe the glass off with a damp cloth. Overall a great experience. The door fits tightly, doesn't leak a drop and looks great! Highly recommended.

Very Good. Only problem was contacting the contractor. The contractor failed to appear for an established appointment for measuring, and didn't return calls for re-scheduling. After a week or two, we were able to contact the contractor and the next appointment was kept. Pricing quote was promised by email by 5 PM. No email ever appeared. I don't know why we hired what was appearing to be an unreliable contractor. However, we persevered and are satisfied with the shower door and its installation. However, it has not yet been tested for leakage. If water tightness is found to be a problem, we will let you know.

Things went okay for the most part. Howard, the owner is a bit difficult to deal with. He didn't want to give us a quote before taking final measurements after our tile had already been installed. He also wasn't great at responding to e-mails and phone calls promptly and seemed annoyed by our questions. On the other hand, we were very happy with the quality of the work. The glass looks great. Designs in glass's price was also excellent. Considerably cheaper than competitors that we contacted. They were able to get the glass fabricated and installed quickly, and our overall renovation wasn't delayed at all. The guys doing the install were professional and very friendly. They were very quick too, it only took about 2 hours. The only other complaint I had was that the information we got about the showerguard feature was a bit misleading. We were led to believe that if we paid extra for that we wouldn't have to worry about water spots on the glass. Unfortunately we definitely still have them and have to squeegee the glass after every shower. The showerguard option is only to prevent permanent discoloration and staining of the glass. In the end, we were mostly happy with Designs in Glass, and would hire them again.

One of the partners came out to meet us. He talked a big game regarding how much more professional he and his crew were over other contractors. He told us he would quote us in <48 hours. A day after that, I called to make sure we hadn't fallen through the cracks. He assured me my quote would be in my inbox that evening. NOTHING. Two weeks have gone by and haven't heard a word. They did not follow up as promised. Why waste MY time and yours!?
