I called and got an estimate over the phone and the price seemed good. (considering they hadn't inspected the vehicle yet) I scheduled the appointment and the job was done that afternoon. This was the same work I had done at a dealership a few years back. At Japanese Auto it was $400 less! I would highly recommend.

They've been around for 30 or 40 years. They use young women they get from the local vocational high school. They use young women as their employees. There are older guys who are just insanely honest. They typically talk me out of work that they think I don't need. They're the cheapest auto repair people on the block. I've used them for 20 years. I'd use them for another 20 more if they're going to last as long. The price is ridiculously cheap. I do use them all the time. When I have oil changes, tune-ups and when I have any specific repair. I've used them for both general maintenance work and focused repair. They've always been extraordinary. They're the best in the business as far as I'm concerned.

They are fantastic. We have used them for years. They take foreign cars but also Saturn's. For them to look at our car like if we were to have like a weird sound or something that we wanted them to check out, they check it out and they don't charge labor for checking it out. They are very respectful of women. I feel like they are just straight. I get a good deal. We have always had such a good experience with them. We go to them instead of our dealership. Their pricing is very reasonable. They tell us like when they can the thing done by and it is always done by then.

Japanese Auto is the best no frills, honest, cost-benefit mechanic I have ever used.

They were accommodating and I ask them about my tires and they said the tires don't need to be changed. I appreciated that.

Prompt, courteous, professional. Cared for a couple of burned-out cabin lights, no extra charge. Reliable service when the dealer is overbooked.

Went to accura dealer suburban acura they identified problem to condenser,and they estimated the cost of $700+. I knew this was criminal/con and found Japanese Auto service. They added 0.5 lb freon and the problem appears to be fixed. Total cost $65.00. I am going again for for trans oil change.

The service and staff at Japanese Auto are THE BEST! They've done the work on my last four Camrys which we drive until 175-200K miles. They explain the work clearly, and at first, when I'd get other quotes, they were always in line with the dealer and other shops. Work was done promptly, problems resolved and explained clearly. I've used them for 20 years and have the highest praise for their service. I recently traded a Camry for a Mini and the hardest part was that they don't work on other models.

Joe at Japanese Auto looked at my car and couldn't determine the problem. He returned it to me free of charge and told me to take it to the dealership. I appreciate his honesty.

We took our car to Japanese Auto Professional Service after getting an extensive list of service that needed to be performed when we replaced the tires at another business. We took the car in, and they inspected everything; only a portion of the list was actually necessary. The price was fair, and we felt confident that they had done careful work. Everything was completed in a timely way.

We have been using Japanese Auto for about 10 years now. They're outstanding. Highly ethical, and they really know Japanese cars. They offer various options and work with you. One time they didn't even charge me anything because they couldn't figure out what was wrong (I had to take the car to the dealership). They're very good about not fixing things that aren't broken, which is a big deal when you drive old cars like we do. They've kept our cars running smoothly. One of our cars has more than 200K miles on it and we're taking it on a trip this weekend. I've tried taking our cars elsewhere because we don't live in Ann Arbor, and because Japanese Auto is often too busy to take care of emergency repairs, but we always end up coming back to them to fix what others have messed up. Their prices are excellent, too.

These guys are superb. I willingly drive to Ann Arbor for service. They have great pricing and service. I have gone here for years.

I called on wednesday and I set up an appointment for friday. They asked what could be wrong with it. I already knew it was my rotors and brakes and a bad battery. I took it in a 7:30 am and they called me back at 9:30 am. They gave me an estimate and told me what's wrong with my brakes and a dead battery. By 2:30 pm the repairs were done and I picked it up with no problems. I was surprised with the lower than expected cost of the brake/rotor job. The service was great. I'd take my car back in a heartbeat to these guys.

They are excellent. They know their stuff, work quickly and know what they are doing. If you have a Honda take it there.

Scheduled and finished promptly. Have been a long-time customer--they are honest, prompt, try to come up with the most inexpensive option, excellent service--only a couple of minor problems over many years.
