Called today 12/30/15 to get some duct work/ vent installed for bath room we are adding into the basement. I talked to Kurt and he told me where it can be located and gave me a price over the phone. I am happy with the price and I know just have to wait until i get the frame up and then they can come out to do the work. I will update it when the work is done. ** i had another company that i have used for all my hvac needs since we've moved here in 2012 and they were higher than indoors price*** I think after i see their work, i might be changing my business to Indoor Comfort

(The servicemen from Indoor Comfort in both our interactions were highly courteous, TOTALLY ON-TIME within ten minutes--they never kept us waiting. I felt totally comfortable with them in our house, and they were in and out both times (furnace and A/C) within a couple of hours. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing, and had done it many times. They took great care in siting our A/C, since it would be in sight of our neighbors. They only sold us the smallest units (funace and A/C) that we needed. They aren't just in this for the money--they clearly want to take good care of their customers and know they are satisfied and safe, esp. during extreme weather conditions. And with their maintenance plan, they are willing to come out any time of day or night, even Christmas, New Year's, to help you--pretty much right away, not much wait. (But those without a maintenance plan do have to wait longer, which is why it's good to get in line through an inspection before bad weather sets in.) Remember when businesses cared about satisfying their customers and taking good care of them? That's what Indoor Comfort is, like a trip back to the 1950s.
Description of Work: About 3 years ago, we bought a new furnace from Indoor Comfort. They worked hard to find the right model for our home, and helped us find ways to take advantage of federal incentives to reduce the price considerably. We also bought their maintenance plan, which also more than paid for itself, because they taught us how to use the furnace most efficiently, change filters, etc. When we had an extremely cold "polar inversion" of Arctic air, we knew we had a highly dependable furnace--and dependable repairmen if we had problems. This year we again used them to buy and install A/C--they are great and highly professional.

We met with 6 different companies, representing 3 different brands, and chose Indoor Comfort because we felt their representative (Kurt) listened to our needs best, and provided options to fill those needs. Our first meeting was in early June, and Kurt arrived on time, looked at our old furnace and A/C, and listened to what we wanted. We received an email the next day with 3 options. We had some additional questions, which Kurt answered quickly, and we contacted him early the following week to arrange to make the purchase. We met to sign the agreement, and scheduled the installation to accur 2 weeks later. On the scheduled morning, the installation team arrived on time. The first thing they did was put drop cloths over all the flooring between the basement steps and the garage. They installed the new furnace and Air Conditioner on the first day, and returned the next to install the Water heater, and show us how to use the new thermostat. About a week after the installation, Kurt called to ask if everything was working correctly and to see if we had any questions. Some of the other companies we talked to tried to sell us a new humidifier and condensate pump. Indoor Comfort did not, in fact, they reinstalled on existing humidifier, and tied it into the new thermostat so that it runs automatically, when needed. (And our building inspector said that a condensate pump is NOT required by code, as we were told by one company's representative), They were also one of only a few companies that included permits and inspections in their plan. Indoor Comfort also filled out all of the paperwork for rebates from Bryant and our utility companies. Finally, we are very pleased with the equipment.

Great service. Very friendly and knowledgable installers who were generally concerned about the quality of the install. They did not take shortcuts for some very difficult issues. They found a very good solution to the location of the intake and exhaust pipes. They also got an all-electronic humidifier attached despite needing to install an undocumented custom relay to properly energize it. They fully programmed the intelligent thermostat device and jumpstarted my knowledge with it. The installation was very professional and it all looks really great.
Description of Work: Replaced furnace and A/C for 2700 sq ft house. Went with the evolution 96% and 4 ton 2-stage 16/17 Seer A/C.

When i called Indoor Comfort the young lady in the office was very friendly and courteous. She was able to book a service call for the next day. The service technician explained what the problem was and repaired it at a fair and reasonable price. From start to finish it was pleasure doing business with Indoor Comfort.

Although I was the last call of the day and the weather was awful, Dustin was polite, detailed, and professional. I love this company and it's entire staff from Kurt who did our original evaluation for duct work, to Sean and Dustin the technicians, and finally Shayna the secretary who is always incredibly courteous in scheduling service and calling to confirm times. Even though this appointment was just the spring tune-up for the A/C they continue to impress me. I highly recommend them.

I had a discussion with Mike Martins, the owner of the company and he is a delightful character. He is friendly, easy to talk to and clear. They came and removed all the old stuff on an appointed day and put in a new furnace and air conditioning outside. I did not shop around to find other providers. His quality was excellent.

From the initial contact with Kurt for the estimate through the completed installation by Cory and Sean, and including the other two young men that helped, I couldn't be more satisfied. All were very polite and I felt completely at ease having them in my home. I was very impressed that Kurt carefully listened to my needs, answered all my questions and concerns, and did not try to upsell me in the process. I still marvel at the meticulous job Cory did plumbing together the four zone manifold and the entire water heater and boiler project. Truly a work of an artisan who takes pride in his work. Thank you guys.....

The reason we had not responded to you about the price was because we were trying to find a way to accommodate your request of a service quote without a trip, which we do not normally do. We did offer to come out and complete the part of your request that we had an immediate answer for, the tuneup. We explained the price and the procedure to you over the phone and you declined the service. In the future we will not try to quote out a service job through email and phone, but rather do what our procedure has always been which is to charge our service fee and come to give the diagnostic report in person. Thank you for bringing this dissatisfaction to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and will not make the same mistake again. We hope you have found someone to take care of your heating needs.

The service call went great. It was timely and they came out within 3 hours of the initial call. They were very professional and knowledgeable. The service provider gave advice on how to keep the furnace maintained while we used the wood stove through the year.
Description of Work: They took some of the connections and removed rust to improve the wiring connection. They also inspected the blower fan and water pump and gave us advice on how to maintain the water pump reservoir.

Salesperson knowledgeable, laid out various options and answered all of our questions. Their bid included services/items that other companies charged extra for. Installers also knowledgeable, communicated well, kept things neat, explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. We have two furnaces, one for the downstairs and one for the upstairs. Our first job performed by Indoor Comfort, in late 2013 went extremely well. A defective flue fan was repaired. This is a furnace that is well over 25 years old, and yet the repair has held up now for well over a year. The second job was a month ago. We called them out to clean one of the two furnaces. In the week that passed between making the appointment and actual date, one of the furnaces quit working. Unfortunately, the young worker they sent could not do repair work. However, he did a good job cleaning the other furnace that was running. A week after that repair, they sent out a seasoned serviceman to repair the broken furnace. It took him several hours, and it turns out that he missed an electrical switch that could have saved him a lot of time. The bill came to over $300, which although not completely unreasonable, was about $100 higher than we were expecting. All in all, I would rate Indoor Comfort above average for furnace repair.

I have already given the original furnace installation an A plus rating after my furnace was installed more than a year ago. Could not be happier with this company. This is the second half of the story... The middle of this happy story begins with Mark, my service professional. He was the kind of professional you hope will show up. Mark took time to access what he would need to complete the fireplace conversion job. I felt comfortable enough to leave him in my home and go back to work. Mark was able to complete the first half of the job on the fireplace but needed to order parts to complete the job. This job was originally quoted when Indoor Comfort quoted and installed my gas furnace more than a year ago. Because of my delay in getting the conversion parts for my Jotul fireplace, the fireplace conversion was performed more than a year after my furnace had been installed. Even though the job ended up being much more involved than the quoted price, the owner, Mike honored the original price quoted. Surely, his company lost money by keeping their word to me. But keep their word they did! When you are shopping around for a best price on furnaces and related services, please know that counting on a company to honor its word may come in handy down the line. I want everyone to know that Indoor Comfort did this for me at their own loss. In my case hundreds of dollars. Looking back to when I originally got quotes for my furnace installation and fireplace conversion, I talked to 3 Angie's list A-rated companies, I am so glad I went with Indoor Comfort! May their honor and good deeds come back to come back to bless them! Thank you Mike, Mark and crew!

The technician arrived promptly at 11 am and complete the tune up without any issues. The previous owner had used Indoor Comfort and paid for a service agreement. I contacted them previously when I has heard a strange dripping sound and was afraid I had a leak. I explained it was expansion of the duct work due to heat coming from the furnace and nothing to worry about

"Mark" returned my call to Indoor Comfort within an hour of the call, was at my home in about an hour after that, with the correct parts to fix my furnace, and performed the repair in about an hour (maybe a little longer). He answered all my questions in a courteous manner, was very patient and explained what he was doing as he worked. My house was built in the 70s and I'm sure this is the original furnace. He gave me information about what type of furnace to look for and what questions to ask when I decide to completely replace it. He quoted me a price on a new furnace, new AC and new water heater, but was not pushy about wanting to schedule someone to come out to sell me anything. I don't know if the price I paid was usual for the service provided, but it was in the neighborhood of what I expected to pay and I didn't think it was unreasonable. I was apprehensive when I called, because this is the first time I've had to do anything like this. But he made the experience a very pleasant one, considering it was a busted furnace in December!! I would call this company again!

It took three weeks to get an appointment after the estimate was given (with several attempts at calls and emails). It is now 5 hours past their service window. So far no one is here. I've missed part of my work day (no pay). The technician just called confused about the job, quoting a higher price, AND trying to reschedule for tomorrow. UPDATE: Their tech Greg got to the house around 9 PM (originally I had an 11 AM - 1 PM window). Greg was great. He rediagnosed my issue, realizing his counterpart was wrong and fixed my issue with no new parts and for 1/2 the estimate. Greg was GREAT, none of today's issue with Indoor Comfort were because of him. My issue is with dispatch and management who should - after this many years of service - be better at communicating with their customers AND better at supporting their techs who are buried in tough jobs. For example, despite Greg having two very difficult, back-to-back jobs before mine, he was the one who still needed to go pick-up parts (which he ended up not needing) for my appointment. Will I use Indoor Comfort in the future. It is hard to say. Greg is a tech I trust. His support team not so much.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to replace the pressure switch in my furnace. UPDATE: It ends up their first rep had the wrong diagnoses for furnace.

Indoor Comfort did a great job installing our new boiler. The quality of the work was exceptional; even the city inspector was impressed with the quality. In the end everything worked exactly as desired, though I haven't been through a winter yet to test it fully. The installation was originally estimated to take 1.5 to 2 days. It ended up taking a little longer because of a small mistake that they found and fixed. This is the kind of service that I want. They take the time to make sure everything is installed correctly.

Corey and Tom arrived on time, checked the locations and determined the best way to remove the old and install the new unit on our flat roof.- Twelve to fifteen feet off the ground. They had appropriate equipment to move the units safely and efficiently. Corey told us about how long the job would take and he was accurate. He let us know when they were leaving for lunch and when to expect them back. They got right to work on their return. The new unit was about as noisy as our old one and when we told Corey about it, he told us that there were a couple of options that could reduce the noise. When we agreed to have them installed, he ordered them for us and told us that he or Greg would install them next week when they came in. When we read about the thermostat, we saw a feature that we thought would be useful. It was not available on the unit we had so Corey checked to see if they had another unit on their truck that had it. When he did not, he ordered a new one for us. They cleaned up so that there was no evidence they had been here other than the new, smoothly running AC Unit. Corey and Tom were both polite and respectful to us and to each other. It was a pleasure to have them working in our home.

Great service. Same day service. I was given a 4 hour window of when they might arrive, but they called and were able to come early. Greg, the technician was extremely helpful, he took the time to explain everything to me without being condescending. The repair was done fast and efficiently.

Technicians diagnosed the issue with our air conditioner and replaced the evaporator coil with one of adequate size. Definitely getting more cool air to the second floor now. Work was done when they scheduled it, for the price quoted, and the workmen were were courteous and efficient.

Was on time and took care of straight away - he replaced the part and got it working quickly, very polite and gave us our discount. He also took a look at our furnace as it was making noise, took care of that for us too. Very pleased with our experience.
Description of Work: Our a/c wasn't working - I new what was wrong, but don't have access to parts and figured better let the pro do it.
