"Thank you for your rating and feedback. It is important to us that our customers are happy with their cleaning as well as their team. I reviewed your cleanings to help understand your comments and would like to provide feedback. We generally provide a window of time for the crew to arrive. Your scheduled time was between 1 and 3 pm. They arrived at 2:30. We provide a window of time because cleaning times of homes do vary with the schedule that week and the homes to be cleaned that day. Initial cleanings do generally take about twice the amount of time of a regular cleaning because every surface is touched and cleaned. Sometimes it does take longer than expected which is why we let clients know it will be hourly. Your initial cleaning took 45 minutes longer than estimated, perhaps because of the amount of accumulated dust. We do sincerely apologize for the dust into the closet. If you are unhappy with anything from your cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours so we can help rectify any problem. It is our goal to always quality check a first time clean either during the cleaning or as the crew is finishing. We will also quality check homes and crews randomly to assure the cleanings always meet our standards. Your first two cleanings were with the crew leader and a crew mate who is part time. The next four cleanings were with the same crew leader and her regular partner. This should be the crew you have consistently in the future, which is our goal. We do hope you are happy with the cleaning this crew provides and your dogs are comfortable with them. Please feel free to let us know if you have any feedback: negative, constructive, or positive. "Member, Congratulations on getting a half off deal. It is a great way to try professional housekeeping in your home. Our crews generally work in pairs that compliment each other's styles. One may be fast, and the other slower but with more details. One may be better on wet surfaces and the other on dry. Whatever the team, they check each other's work for quality and completeness. All our teams are quality checked on a regular basis and we guarantee our work to your satisfaction. Each of our offices have multiple crews. If you were to decide on regular cleaning, we would work with you until you were satisfied with your crew. We hope you will call us again if you choose to hire a professional cleaning service."

"We are sorry our cleaning did not live up to your expectations. Just to recap: Our crew of 3 cleaners arrived on the scheduled date but were unable to clean because the refinishing of the floors was not complete. You were charged a lock-out fee to cover our time and expense of having to reschedule. We were able to rearrange other customers and sent the crew out first thing in the morning on the next day. The crew cleaned for 3 hours and you were billed for that cleaning time. I understand you did not allow the air conditioning to be on because the movers were in and out of the door, but it was during our extensive heat wave and housekeeping (and moving) is very physical work. You may want to consider that fact in the future. When our crew finished, you walked through the house with them. You pointed out a few items that our cleaners fixed and then said everything was fine. When they were on their way back, you called the office to say that you were in fact not satisfied. Within 2 hours we sent our quality service person to your home and she cleaned for 1.5 hours on the areas that the first crew did not complete during their three hours. Admittedly, the QC person agreed that the window sills were not cleaned and the one room with the closed door was missed. You were not charged for the additional 1.5 hours of cleaning. We are very proud of our cleaners and understand that occasionally we do not live up to the expectations of our clients. We do guarantee 100% customer satisfaction and proof of that is our quick response to your complaint and the follow-up work done by our staff. We take great pride in our Angie's List rating and are very sorry you felt the need to give us C's and a D on all our categories. I believe we may not have been perfect for your particular cleaning, but believe our professionalism, responsiveness, and punctuality was much better than a "C". Our price is also very fair within the current market. Again, we are sorry this cleaning did not meet your expectations however we are proud of the work we do and hope other potential customers who read your review and our response realize we are a quality housekeeping service. "Thank you for your review and your honesty in problems that occasionally arise and how we always work to resolve them. A missing key is a very unusual occurrence. We code and lock our keys so our clients safety is maintained. Once a client's schedule is established, the same crew is sent. Our crews sometimes do change. We like to reward our best cleaners by promoting them to crew chiefs as well as trainers which often necessitates breaking up good crews, but it is for the benefit of all our clients. It is our goal to continue to provide excellent service for one-time cleans, occasional cleanings, and regular cleanings. We also do windows, carpets, gutters, power-washing, garage sweeping and garage cobweb removal. (Ok - that is a shameless plug, but we are proud of our work!)"

Considering the work you are reviewing was performed in 2006, we question your purpose for posting your review at this time, 5 years after your final cleaning. We also question why you are posting a SECOND review on Angie’s List with different ratings than your review of January 4, 2009. We feel it important that we respond to you and our potential clients so we may explain the background of our association and conflicts that arose. First of all, we guarantee our work 100%. If you were ever dissatisfied with your cleaning, we would’ve sent someone out to fix whatever problems occurred in addition to changing your cleaning crew until you were satisfied. It is also our policy to perform a quality check the following cleaning on any home that called to complain as well as a check on the members of that crew. We take the quality of our work very seriously. Generally clients will have the same cleaning crew once on an established schedule. If a crew member is not available, at least one of our cleaners who has been to your home will be sent to clean with another cleaner. That way we are assure that someone cleaning your home knows where supplies are kept and knows to follow the work order that accompanies your home. We also always send two cleaners out so they check each other’s work so as to avoid leaving work incomplete or supplies out. We have NEVER been under different management. The owner of Housekeeping Associates has owned this company since 1990 and is a hands-on member of our crew. Ms. Shankland will still clean, do quality checks, go out on bids, and is in one of our offices every day. According to our records, in 2006 you canceled your cleaning services with Housekeeping Associates, however it was because you hired one of the cleaners who had cleaned your home after she left our service after we had trained and was in our employ for several years. You must’ve been pleased with her work to do this. It is also a direct violation of the cleaning agreement we have with our clients as well as with our employees. It is difficult to run a reputable business when the clients we service are not reputable, even 5 years later. We are terribly sorry that you felt it necessary to publicly post this negative review. We would’ve preferred to have the response removed; however this does give us an opportunity to reply to you and assure potential customers that we are a reputable, high quality service agency as our other reviews demonstrate. "It does take time to learn a home but we will always strive to provide the best customized service for you. We do find that certain homes are better fit with certain crews. We continue to work with clients until they are pleased with their results. We evaluate our rates vs time spent cleaning on a yearly basis. If we find the cleaners are spending more time cleaning on a regular basis (not occasionally), we may adjust the rate up or down depending on the work and time allotted. If we raise rate, it is generally minimal and is just to adjust to our costs. It is our goal to maintain a professional and complete level of cleaning with sacrificing quality or commitment."

"Member, we are sorry the cleaning did not meet your expectation. We take great pride in making sure our customers are satisfied. If you were dissatisfied, we would've come out within 24 hours to rectify any situation. The girls worked incredibly hard on a horrifically dirty unit. We did use Odoban, a specialty product, to clean the floors. Our company policy is to complete a job before taking a break and never during a 4 hour cleaning. Our cost is fixed at $65 per hour for a crew of two and prorated for additional staff when needed. We will look into the issue of oil leaks on cars."
