Very expensive

I hired Edwards on May 5, 2020, to snake my sewer drain. I scheduled an appointment for the following day May 6, to not pay the emergency fee, arrival May 6 between 8 am and 1 pm. I called 3 times for updates starting at noon on May 6, 2 pm, and again at 4 pm, I spoke to a person, they never called me back even though each time said they would check plumber status and call me back within the hour. After waiting all day, they arrived at 6 pm. This is a standard service, Thornton and Grooms do this for 99$. But I did not know this at the time. Then it got odd. The Edwards employee called his service line before doing the job. I had a coupon, to save 40$. I scheduled this service to avoid an emergency fee. Take a guess... 350$, minus 40$ coupon. I was shocked. I had used them in an emergency the prior year, and at 3 am, that was the same price. This was day time. I scheduled ahead. Nope. And since they came out, even if I did not use their service, I owed them 69$. And you will love this, according to the Edwards employee, their standard price is $275 AND, since March, they add 75$ for a COVID fee (yes he wore a mask). The job took 30 minutes. I paid 310$. This company rapes you. DO NOT USE THEM. The employee was nice, but that is it. Thornton and Grooms came out on May 8. Kindly laughed, and for 99$, no COVID fee (shook head disgustingly at their fellow plumbers) checked my sewer with a camera, showed me the roots, and recommended to use root removal that I can obtain from any Home Depot Stores. Let us are even more clear. A 100 sewer snake costs 500$. A 100 sewer camera costs 400-800$. And a pressure washer 100 sewer cleaner costs 100$ + the cost of the pressure washer. I could have bought the equipment that Edwards used to pop a hole in the root intrusions. Edwards is a waste of your money and time.

Billy was very professional and did a great job. It was very expensive (in my opinion), but it was an emergency in the middle of a Covid catastrophe, so I planned to spend more. I would recommend this company to others.

Both Ryan Lee & Elliot were professional. They heard my issue & resolved it and only charged me for the service call & did a follow up service visit NO CHARGE. I highly recommend the company.

They are a bit expensive, but Kyle came out right away and took care of the problem. Shawn was quite helpful as I tried to explain the problem to him. They had a snake out the drain in my basement. Hopefully, it will last a while. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Highly recommend this company for any plumbing service needed.

I hired EP and H to repair a leaking toilet and disconnected sink. Technician arrived on time and was professional. However, he charged me $225 for entering the crawlspace just to even give me a quote for the repair. I reluctantly agreed, and I was informed that the plumbing in one of my bathrooms is not up to code (just bought the house, but apparently missed by the house inspector). Repairs were quoted upwards of $5000 for re-piping the bathroom, a price which to me was outrageous and I promptly declined. I decided to check with other plumbers also here in HomeAdvisor. After contacting one of them, they came by, charged nothing for entering the crawlspace to quote the repair (they reported the same plumbing issues), which came at only $1600. I agreed and proceeded with this other company which quickly re-piped the entire bathroom in less than 3 hours and even fixed an additional leak in the bathtub for their exact quoted price. I would shop around for another plumber instead of EP and H, as I just saved over $3000 just by doing that. Definitely would not recommend this company.

What an awesome service, malcolm and tony went above and beyond to help me with sewer back up in the basement, they did the best sanitizing solutions , and made sure my basement is free of mold and extra humidity, they are very knowledgeable, very polite and friendly, they really treated us like family!! They care a lot ! Thank you so much😊

The technician/plumber, Tony, was great. He explained things well and was an overall good guy. The office people were a little hard to communicate with and there was a delay as they were having a training meeting when I called. Overall, great job.

Roger was my plumber he was only to come out and camera a house that I was looking into buying. Roger informed me that the house entire plumbing needed to be replaced and was not up to code. Thank you helped me get credit towards my house

While the job price was right the manner in which the work was done was unprofessional. Starting with a 10x10x10 trench being dug in the wrong spot due to not having locating equipment available on the first day. When they arrived next day they did not have the appropriate equipment to place the camera device and delayed work again to leave and obtain a jetting system. They began excavating without offering me the chance to move plants and made no attempts to salvage plantings. They left the job site for the night with detached main sewer line without notifying us. On the third day of the project, they completed mainline replacement, but only graded part of the fill site. They left a two-foot discrepancy at the property line and various large rocks and roots sticking out. The ground was not compact in any manner. When I called to request this be addressed Lynn was not receptive and said your husband knew it was going to be like that. He continually differed to my husband despite myself being the only person who had seen the finished job. Lynn was additionally dismissive of my neighbor concerns about the safety of the site. Despite speaking to him directly. Lynn eventually offered to have someone come rake it, but refused to give me a time saying you do not need to be there to micromanage.
