CHUCK PUTZIG PLUMBING & SEWER

I had a drain backing up in the basement.  Called on Monday to get an appointment on Tuesday.  I was the last appointment and the other appointments delayed mine a little.  I was called during my window and advised of the delay.  The plumber studied my problem then proceeded to gain access to the sewer line and cleared it with 2 drain snake passes.  The plumber was nice and professional.  I'm very happy with the service.

Very courteous, professional, knowledgeable and respectful of the surroundings (floor, carpet, etc).  Cleanup was great also.  I've used Chuck Putzig Plumbing exclusively since 1990 when I became an Allen Park Resident.  All of my experiences with them were equal in quality and every other aspect I've rated above.  Would highly recommend.

Had a persistent leaky pipe in the basement.  Had unsuccessfully attempted my own repair.  Have used Chuck Putzig's Plumbing a number of times, so called them without hesitation.  Came out as scheduled, repaired the leak and also replaced and improved a water shut-off valve for outside water tap.

Mike is the plumber and was very friendly, punctual, and knowledgable of the work that needed to be done.   He came and gave an estimate and showed up at the time he said he would.  He was very accomodating when the work had to be scheduled over a couple of visits due to scheduling issues. He instructed me on the use of my new back up system and even called to see if I was having water problems when there was a lot of rain and thawing before I could have my main pump changed. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others and will be calling later this year for some work on faucets.

I called on a weekend.  Sewage drain was blocked.  Chuck was out of town but he did reply quickly to my call.  Seemed like a very nice, polite man.  Couldn't wait for repairs to schedule later.  Had out-of-town guests and a funeral to attend.  Took some begging around but got the job done and the toliets running again.

Wonderful!  Mike came and gave me an estimate for the project, he was professional and knowledgable.  I thought the estimate was reasonable for the amount of work that was being done.  I purchased my own 1/4 turn shutoff valves because I wanted a certain type and he had no problem installing those instead of the ones he normally uses.  When he came for the actual install appointment it took Mike and one of his employees 4 hours.  They worked the entire time (no smoke breaks, visiting, etc).  They did a nice job and I will use them for future projects.

It went really well and was very impressed. He called when he said he would and was very prompt and professional. He did the work quickly and very neat and what I thought was a very reasonable price. Would most definitely recommend and will use Chuck Putzig's Plumbing again. This was also our first experience using Angie's List and were really impressed.

This was the first time that I hired a plumber.  Mike was very responsive and professional.  He promptly met me to review the work, provided an estimate and was able to schedule the work promptly.  The work was done and cleaned up in two hours.  I am very pleased with experience and will definititely use his services again with any future plumbing issues.

Called on Friday the 27th of December. Installed new water heater the next day ( Sat ) . Mike was great,  install was very quick  and left the area spotless.

The  Chuck  Putzig plumber was honest, professional and fixed my bathroom facquts well.  I had gotten another estimate from another plumbing company (which was not on Angie's list and he quoted me a price of $495.00 over the phone.  That when I decided to join Angies list and I decided to go with Chuck Putzig's and I an sure glad that I did.  He simply had to change my washers and the price was only $103.00.  Thank you so much and I will definelty use this company again.

After about 30 minutes, the drain was running freely again. I am very pleased with the result.

The plumber was very personable and professional.  He snaked the drain out, which required approximately 40 ft. of coil, and discovered that there was some tree root that had gotten into our drain pipe.  He explained (after removing the drain out cover) that there should never be water present to the eye (which there was).  Made sense--explained why after flushing the toilet we would have water back-up from the drain covers!  It was an education!  When he finished, I flushed our toilets several times to ensure that the water would not back up again.  What a relief--good to know that the problem was taken care of and that there was no fear of our plumbing backing up on us.  The plumber also recommended that periodic check-ups would be a good idea (every few years or so) in order to ensure that tree roots hadn't gotten back into our drain pipes (thereby preventing repairs costing into the several thousands).  Glad I called this contractor.

Wonderful results. Mike and Guy were prompt and professional. They explained the process each step of the way going above and beyond in their follow up to make sure we were happy with the job.

I called early in the day and got a return phone call within 45 minutes. Mike was polite and worked with me to set up an appointment for an estimate instead to make sure what I wanted done was actually needed. He even offered to stop by on his way home if he did not have time during the day. When he arrived we discussed all of our options and he told me that he would walk away from the job if I insisted on a battery back-up as they only offer limited coverage time and would be a waste of money. I appreciated that integrity. He went back to the office and called me back and we scheduled installation for the next day. The plumber, Guy, arrived a little late (about 10 minute) but went right to work and completed the job in a very reasonable time. The price was as Mike and I had agreed and I was given the senior discount when I asked about it. The reason for the B on punctuality was that we were never called to let us know that Guy would be late. Other than that minor glitch the job went exceptionally well and at a price that was very reasonable.

I honestly can't remember the date or cost of my most recent service, but the date & costs I gave are about right. I've been calling Chuck Putzig for years. They are always courteous and prompt and I've always found their prices to be fair. A number of years ago when my father was coming home from the hospital, we got bars to help around the toilet only to find they didn't work on our toilet. We had less than 12 hours and Putzig's plumber came quickly and we were ready for my dad's return. Later, when the toilet clogged and it was the only one he could use, Putzig came quickly. They've been wonderful whether I had an emergency or could schedule needed repairs. When my nephew needed someone his wife could call, I sent her to Chuck Putzig because I felt she'd be comfortable when they were working in her house without my nephew present.

Called several companies for a quote to remove a bathroom clog in a rental home that I own. Company called me first thing the next mornong and tried to schedule me for the same day. This did not work for me as the tenant was out of town and offered Saturday at no extra charge.  I asked to have the plumber call me about a half hour before his scheduled arrival as I live 25 miles away. Guy called as requested and met me at the property. He snaked the drain and fixed an incorrect connection for the 90.00 quoted over the phone. He was prompt, friendly and thorough. I called several other companies which were all over the map with quotes ranging from 120.00-245.00 plus service call fees. Putzig charged non of that.

Mike and his partner are over the top on service and quality. I wanted a plumber who would guarantee his work, do professional installation and repairs, and make recommendations for what needed to be done. Mike came over, gave me recommendations and an estimate and just plain knew what he was talking about. The previous plumber would have cost a lot less---the first time--so I figured hiring a plumber with guarantees, insurance, and a physical location would cost more. It did, but I have never been happier for paying more. 
Mike is the real thing. He is honest, works hard, and knows what he's doing. He and his work partner completed the project in one day, left everything neat and clean, and I have the assurance that if something doesn't work, he'll stand behind it and make it right.  From this time on, he's my plumber.

Do leave a message if a weekend or holiday problem.  They will get your message even though the office is not open.  They will return your call when they open the next day.  I was told that if the issue is urgent they will make every effort to handle the problem as soon as possible, whether it is a weekend of holiday.
