Mike was very prompt and very courteous. He replaced our sump pump in less than an hour and also answered questions my husband had. We recently moved from Florida so sump pumps are new to us. My husband also had a question about a leaky faucet and Mike provided him with a card to a local place where we could find a repair kit as opposed to ordering a whole new faucet. He didn't charge us any extra for that.

Mark arrived on time, analyzed the problem, then went right to work. He had my main drain snaked and cleared in no time. He then asked for a mop and bucket to clean up after, but I told him would take care of it as my whole basement needed mopping anyway. The entire appointment lasted exactly one hour. I am very pleased.

Tightened lavatory faucet that they installed two years ago.

I have a kitchen overhang that leaves the pipes leading to my kitchen sink at risk to freezing during especially frigid temperatures. Mike and his assistant carefully thawed a pesky frozen pipe for me before it burst, and then returned two days later when I had a similar issue. Mike and his assistant are extremely professional, courteous and patient with my questions. Not only did he patiently thaw the pipe, but he provided a lot of invaluable advice in my situation on how to more efficiently insulate my problematic kitchen overhang and tips on how to keep the pipes from freezing. Since first hiring Mike back in May, he has now been out three times (twice this week). Each time, he has arrived exactly when promised and has been very fair in his pricing.

I called Chuck Putzig Plumbing,after reading all the glowing reviews on Angie's List,last night for my Mom. I was happy to get a return call this morning bright and early saying someone will be out between 12:00 and 2:00. Mark arrived on time. He was very pleasant, knowledgable and had her kitchen up and running again.He checked the pipe connecting downstairs.snaked pipe/drain and a list of other things (I did not want to hover around him and bother him :) ).My 92 year old Mom also gave him the seal of approval..."He was a very nice young man" She got her 10% discount,,,.I will call this company again, should the need arise...and so should YOU!!! Thay are wonderful!!!

The bathroom sink began leaking inside the wall where the drain pipe ran. I had already knocked a hole in the wall and discovered exactly where the leak was. I needed help fixing this, but I wasn't in any big hurry. Mike came out the next day and gave me an estimate, and we scheduled a week out to do the repair. They kept me informed of when they were going to arrive, and kept the appointed time within a few minutes. Once Mike enlarged the hole in the wall to expose the entire affected pipe, he noticed that it was pitched in the wrong direction, which would have cause water to pool inside the pipe rather than drain away, and encourage corrosion (right where it was leaking). He corrected the pitch by raising the tailpiece going into the lav and replacing the clogged, corroded galvanized pipe with PVC. It should be noted that the firm wasn't prepared to close the hole in the wall that was needed to do the repair. (This was discussed and made clear before they started the job). For me, that was more than OK -- I would rather do that part myself, since I have those skills. But people looking for more than just the strict plumbing work should be aware. The job went smoothly, and the price charged was lower than the estimate.

Mike was very professional. He gave us a written estimate. When we selected him to do our job he came on the day and time he said he would. Work was completed promply and he did excellent work. We will definetly use him again.

I called Chuck Putzig Plumbing after reading all the A+ comments on Angie's list. I am so glad that I did! Puzig Plumbing lived up to all the accolades made by previous customers on this site. They arrived promptly, made the necessary repairs efficiently and cleaned up completely when they were finished. They were very cordial and neatly dressed. I can't say enough about how outstanding I think this company is. They definitely deserve A+. Obviously I will call on them again.

I have used them in the past and their service is still excellent - Mike and Mark do great and honest work. They are professional, knowledgeable, honest, and reasonable with prices.

They first came and Mike was really great. I called other companies, and they were charging just to come to the house to check the toilet problem. Mike just came in and said that we needed a new toilet, and I went and purchased one, and they came back and put it in and he was wonderful. They told me to call within a week or 10 days, if there was any problem, and I was having problems, so two of them came out, and they took the toilet out. I have a huge tree behind my house, and the roots were all in there and they told me that I would have problems, and they redid every thing for free. They didn't charge for coming to look at it, they checked it out at first, and I thought they were excellent. They charged what they said they would and they were excellent. When I bought the toilet, they didn't tell me that I need to buy the lid separately, and when I bought that, he came and put it in for me as well. They went above and beyond pulling out some roots. Their prices were reasonable. The first time they came for the estimate, he waited for me, because he knew that I was at the hospital with my dad. I would definitely use them again.

His charges were very reasonable, the service was very professional, and the work was all done. So we were very happy with that.

He is very, very nice. Very reasonably price. I just couldn't ask for better service. The gentlemen even remembered me from my last appointment. They are in and out and you don't have to wait a long time to get a appointment.

The quality, punctuality and professionalism of Mike's work was superior to that of plumbers I've had in the past. He was on time for both the estimate and on the date that he made my repairs. He wasn't the cheapest plumber that I received an estimate from, and he wasn't able to schedule the job the fastest, but in talking with him during the estimate, I got the impression that I'd be much more pleased with the end results of his work,-- and that was certainly the case.

We liked Mike alot: he came on time and did a great job. Unfortunately we had to call 2 times to try to schedule him to return to finish the work. We would still use him again but he may need a reminder call if he needs to come back to finish the job.

I had a drain backing up in the basement. Called on Monday to get an appointment on Tuesday. I was the last appointment and the other appointments delayed mine a little. I was called during my window and advised of the delay. The plumber studied my problem then proceeded to gain access to the sewer line and cleared it with 2 drain snake passes. The plumber was nice and professional. I'm very happy with the service.

Very courteous, professional, knowledgeable and respectful of the surroundings (floor, carpet, etc). Cleanup was great also. I've used Chuck Putzig Plumbing exclusively since 1990 when I became an Allen Park Resident. All of my experiences with them were equal in quality and every other aspect I've rated above. Would highly recommend.

Had a persistent leaky pipe in the basement. Had unsuccessfully attempted my own repair. Have used Chuck Putzig's Plumbing a number of times, so called them without hesitation. Came out as scheduled, repaired the leak and also replaced and improved a water shut-off valve for outside water tap.

Great service. Mike went out of his way to ensure we would have running water over the weekend. We'll be calling him back for future work!
