They built our house around 1996. At the time they built it we were told verbally that they were going to glue and screw the tongue and groove plywood and informed us that was the least squeaky floor you could get. We have tried to get them to come back in their warranty period and they would come and fix it but the floors would only stay fixed for 2 weeks and then it would start squeaking again. We now realized they nailed the floors instead of screwing and gluing in the way the job was said to be done. They have misled us from day one and never did the job right. I asked them to come back and fix the job so the floors didn’t squeak they said they would not do anything. There was no way to tell they nailed the floors instead of screwing them until we actually pulled up the floor and could see that they nailed instead of the glue and screw approach which they said they did. In the two times that they did come out to fix the floor they failed miserably. All the while not revealing that they nailed the floors instead of gluing and screwing them.
