If you want maximum frustration and getting ripped off, Lenny Houston is your guy. He removed our broken dishwasher and left it outside on the back yard patio. He charged us a removal fee and didn't take the broken dishwasher. His work was incomplete and expensive. He promised to come back the next day, and he hasn't even bothered to return our phone calls. That was last week. We finally gave up and hired another company to fix his errors and complete the installation. Jason from ATR Appliance Repair was fantastic! Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and he explained everything to me in ways I could understand.

Prompt service and extremely thorough. A nice guy...however, after 2 visits/attempts, problem wasn' t fixed. Had to get another repair company.

Mr. Lenny came to my home back in August , assessed the repairs needed. He ordered the part, returned several days later to install. The install took a lot longer than we thought. When he finally completed the work he generated an invoice and he was paid via credit card. After he left I noticed there was duct tape holding the lower part of the dryer in place which was totally unacceptable. Mr. Lenny never mentioned he was using tape to temporarily hold the dryer door in place.He informed me of that only after I called him...Since that night I've yet to hear from Mr. Lenny regarding completing the repair which involved replacing the old fasteners and putting the screws back in that he never did...Very disappointed in the quality of service...Robert K Webster Sr

Mr Lennie is the BEST! He came out to my Mom & Dad's (Super Seniors) house on the Labor Day Holiday with a moment's notice. He diagnosed the problem with their stove expeditiously! I am thoroughly pleased and would recommend him to anyone expecting to receive top-notch 1st class service!

Mr Lenni Houston service was unsatisfactory and he did not provide the repairs to my refrigerator as agreed. He failed to respond favorably to our complaint when asked for a refund or repair what was agreed upon. We do not recommend him for your home or bushiness repairs

The technician was very nice but did not communicate the specific time he would arrive at my home. He was very knowledgable about the Samsung appliance though! To me, all that matters is that he was able to resolve the issue and the appliance now works!

This so called appliance repair guy is an amateur and inexperienced and is a scammer. Please do not use him for any work you need done on any of your appliances. We hired him to fix our fridge which was not working properly. Some areas of the fridge were over freezing (juice, egg and produce were all frozen ) and other parts were working fine. The freezer was below tinge temperature it should be therefore all the frozen items were thawed. Anyways he diagnosed the issues to be with the fridge fan. We let him do the work and the fridge wasn t working as he said it would go back to working normally after 24 hours. We decided to call a GE repair man to come have a look and he discovered that Houston(The repair man from Houston Appliances) installed the fan upside down. Very silly and sloppy job and mistake to make for a so called repair man. We paid him $306 and called him to reach a resolution to get some kind of refund but he was very rude and disrespectful and didn t want to own up to his mistake. IF I COULD GIVE A 0 OUT OF 5 I WOULD. PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON A RESPECTED WEBSITE LIKE THIS. I probably wont be using anyone to do repair from Home Advisor anymore. This was my first experience using them and my last. I really don t like writing bad reviews, but in this case I had to because of his sloppy job and rudeness. Now I gotta pay GE $250 to just put the fan back right face up.ONCE AGAIN DO NOT HIRE HOUSTON FOR ANY REPAIR WORK

Mr. Houston arrived on time to service my ice maker which was malfunctioning. It had not produced ice in quite some time. He charges $80 for a diagnostic fee which was in my opinion, a bit pricey, but I needed the service and was willing to pay it. When he arrived he looked in my refrigerator and provided a quick diagnosis. He stated that the parts would be approximately $165 plus labor giving me a total cost of $80 for the diagnostic fee and $235 due on the following Tuesday when the repair was to be completed. The diagnosis was provided on Sunday. Not less than 24 hours later, Mr. Houston texted me stating that the price of the parts had changed and there will be an increase of $70. I am appalled. I did my own research and found that the two parts necessary for the icemaker and water inlet valve were a total of $125. In total he wanted to charge me $385 rather than the agreed-upon $315 just the day before. He waited to get my $80 before changing the price knowing there was nothing I could do about it. I was clearly upset, and asked him to at least refund me half of the diagnostic fee since he wanted to overcharge me and not provide an honest invoice and assessment in the first place. This man is a thief!!!! Do not hire him!
