Superb job by Chris and Scottie. They arrived on time. I really appreciate their honesty and workmanship. They went above and beyond explaining every single detail of what the job entailed. I found out that AROCON does all kinds of work/repairs outside and inside the house. Definitely, I am calling back for some work needed in the house.

When the project manager arrived, he gave directions to the two workers, one of whom spoke no English and the other only very little, and then he left. When I returned from work, I gazed upon a project that bore no resemblance to the contract. Arocon had sent workers to my project who had neither the skills nor the tools to execute the installation of these steps. The rectangular landing had been installed in the wrong direction, an error which required the removal of the last step of the first flight of stairs. To keep that flight of stairs from collapsing, they built a strange outcropping from pieces of mismatched scrap wood. It looked bizarre. Moreover, the workmen installed three low-quality handrails that were not part of the contract. The workmanship was abysmal: seams didn't meet, the tongue-and-groove flooring was wavy and the steps moved when stepped upon. The same crew returned two more times, each time making the situation worse. After another visit by an "expert," I tried to work with what they had installed, hoping to keep to my schedule for the project. As I began the refinishing, I found nails protruding from under the treads, steps held in position only with a small shim, and the whole thing had been tacked together with the thinnest of brads. Unable to obtain satisfaction from Arocon, I photographed the sad installation, documented every step, and sent it to the DLLR. The company settled the dispute for more than half the contract price.

Inspector confirmed our fears that the roof needs to be replaced soon. He explained the problems and walked us through what would need to be done. He provided a detailed report, including pictures, and helped us schedule a follow-up appointment to get an estimate.

Office staff communication was great. They contacted me quickly and it was easy to set up and appointment. Will showed up on time at the appointment time and he listened to my concerns about the gutters and got right to work. He was very professional, communicated clearly and did a great job. He took pictures and told me everything about the condition of my roof. He got everything fixed up on my gutters and did it in a good amount of time. I'd def go with these guys in the future.

The technician, Jason, provided a thorough explanation of the issues with my roof and provided recommendations. He replaced a few roof tiles and showed me pictures. I appreciated his advice (including tips to save money) and would contract with Arocon again and ask for Jason to respond, if possible.

Although most roofers learn on the job, some learn their trade through an apprenticeship program, this Guy was upfront with everything and professional,my wife don't usually trust company's easily !! but by the time he was done with explain everything she was sold.,we even hire him on the spot for our other property that happened to be a Restaurant in Washington DC...

The employee from Arocon arrived on time and was very professional. He cleaned our gutters as requested, took before and after photographs and provided a written report on the condition of the gutters and roof.

It went very well. The gentlemen came introduced themselves and got right to work. He explained everything he was doing and once he was finished he explained what he saw on the roof. He cleaned out my gutters and then gave a estimate for replacing my gutters and drain spouts. He was very good and I didn't have any complaints. I would recommend this company to anyone.

From start to finish, this company was great to deal with. The office staff on the telephone was very courteous and professional each time I spoke with someone which involved a few times. Mark arrived exactly when the time frame was set for the appointment. He explained what he was going to do and answered all questions I had. He was very thorough and explained a repair he had to do on the roof. He also made recommendations for a gutter system and upgrading our present insulation in the attic which currently is inadequate. Would highly recommend this company.

They didn't finish. They left me with money unspent. It was a poor experience. They were supposed to do a frame around the medicine cabinet, seal the tile, and install crown molding in the kitchen.

Well service is not available in my area.

I liked the guy who came out. He was very nice and documented everything thoroughly. I'm pleased with their service, however it remains to be seen how much the repair to one section of my roof will cost.

The inspection went great. Thank goodness there was nothing really major wrong but he took pictures and came down and showed me what was going on up there. He then explained fully what he was going to do to fix the problems and then he did it. There have been no more leaks, no rain pounding on my window overhang (not sure what you call that thing) and everything has been perfect. The only thing was the price but I understand it is a 3 story town house so it takes two people instead of one for safety reasons. I just wish it had been a little cheaper but hey, who wouldn't want that. All in all it was money well spent and I would definitely recommend them to others and would use them in the future.

Will showed up at scheduled time. Introduced himself and explained what he was going to do. A surprise was his checking the attic. When he was done he suggested several updates for the roof and gutters as well as more insulation for the attic. What I liked was no pressure or sense of impending doom if I didn't upgrade immediately. He said I was good to go for now but wanted to let me know my options. I will definitely give them a call for future work.

Everything went smoothly without a hitch! I was told it would take one day to replace the roof and they did it! The shingles were delivered on the roof one day before the actual installation and took less than an hour. The roofers came the next day around 8AM and put tarp to protect the area from debris; removed all layers of existing roofing; inspected the roof deck and repaired/replaced rotten sheathing or plank boards; installed new drip edge to the roor perimeter; installed ice and water guard to all eaves, walls, and roof penetrations; installed synthetic underlayment on the roof deck; installed new starter shingles on all eaves and rakes; installed the new Owings Corning architecture shingles overtop the underlayment; installed new step flashing and apron metal to all roof to wall interfaces; installed new pipe boots to plumbing vent stacks; installed new ridge vent, cleaned and tightened the rear gutters; installed a new chimney crown; replaced chimney trim; caulked all roof flashings; and cleaned up all job related debris. They were completed before 3PM. The next day the gutter installers came to install the new front gutters and down spouts around 9AM and they were done before 11AM.

They did new flat top roof for me. Everything turned out very well.

Arocon roofing was prompt (actually arrived 30 minutes early) and provided a confirmation call the night before. The roofing tech was pleasant, knowledgeable and courteous and was efficient in performing all the items of the package. Unfortunately, my roof is getting up there in age and I need to replace it soon. I will definitely be getting an estimate from Arocon when we decide to begin getting bids for a new roof.

The contractor was good and was very thorough. We didn’t end up going with them for the work but they did a good job.

Arocon was recommended to me. I did not initially select them from Angie's List. Once they were recommended, I looked to see if they participated on Angie's List, and learned that they had an A rating. Arocon first sent a project consultant to meet with me and discuss a new roof installation. The consultant that I met with was Nathan. He arrived on time and inspected my entire roof including gutters. Not all of my roof needed replaced, as an addition was added 13 years ago. Part of the addition has EPDM roofing which did not need replaced. Nathan not only inspected the original roof he inspected the ENTIRE roof, AS WELL as the gutters. He confirmed that the old roof was aging and cracking and discovered that the EPDM roofing was pulling away. He recommended applying a tape to seal the seams of the EPDM roof. To verify his findings, he took pictures. I was so impressed with the fact that he inspected the entire roof and not just what I thought needed replaced (as well as the gutters). He informed me that I did not need the gutters replaced. I was moved by his candor regarding the gutters and telling me that there was an inexpensive way of fixing the EPDM seams. Nathan thoroughly explained the process for Arocon to install the roof, explains the various products available, explains the materials used, the time involved and the warranty information. He explained that a rigid ridge vent would be applied that would reduce heat in the attic. I obtained 3 bids and none of the other bids included this as a standard item in their installation. One final note about Nathan - although I did not request their services through Angie's List, they honored a discount for being an Angie's List member. Of the three bids that I obtained (one on Angie's List and the other not), only Arocon did a thorough inspection as well as meet with me to discuss findings, options, process, etc. The decision for me to hire them was obvious. The contract was e-mailed to me for review. I had questions, and Nathan was prompt in replying with answers or (in my case) clarifying details. Once the contract was signed, Arocon placed me in a queue to replace my roof. The materials were delivered a day ahead of time and the roofers (approx. 8-10 of them) arrived at 8:00 on the day of installation. They were methodical, efficient and hard workers. I had some additional work that was necessary, such as replacing gutter guards and heating elements. This was done as needed. The following week after my roof was installed, Arocon followed up with me to see if I was satisfied with my roof and if there were any problems. They reiterated that, if I have any issues, to call them immediately. How's that for customer service. I am so happy with my new roof and very happy with Arocon. They deserve their "A" rating.

Called to set-up an appointment for an estimate, and they were very responsive. Called on Saturday and had the estimate scheduled for Tuesday. The rep arrived right on time; however, I wasn't able to receive an estimate. Apparently, company policy is that they can't give you an estimate unless you sign a contract (within 15 minutes of them walking into your home) stating that they will be your representative to your insurance company. This means 1) they are going to do the work, 2) they will meet with your insurance to work out the details of the claim, including payment, and 3) you will only have to make one payment to your insurance for the deductible. Maybe this works out fine, or maybe it doesn't. I just can't make that kind of commitment without knowing what the company's thoughts on the damage and what would be replaced within 15 minutes of meeting the rep and NO assessment of the damage.

Great customer service and follow up with office staff. The inspector was personable but did not complete the work I paid for: gutter cleaning and chalking areas on roof. He also did not respond to the two inquiries afterwards.

I purchased the Angie's List roof tune-up deal on June 16. I provided home and work contact numbers and preferred dates of service in my purchase order. So I thought it was kind of odd that the company emailed me 2 days later and asked me to call them to set up an appointment. Unfortunately, my preferred dates were not available, so we made the appointment for July 10. On the date of service, the technician, Will, called to say he was available before the scheduled 3-5 timeframe; however, I had a dr. appt. and was not available as early as he wanted to come. We agreed on a mid-point time, and we both arrived at my home within a few minutes of each other. The appointment went well. I bought this house 2.5 years ago; the listing said it had a "newer roof," but I didn't know what that meant or what condition the roof was in after a hard winter and a number of limbs falling off of trees. So I was glad to have someone take a look at things. Will was able to toss some branches off the roof, and he reattached some trim pieces that had come loose, so I was grateful for that. He also cleared off the gutters. Once he finished his work, Will provided me with a quote for a gutter guard product to replace the plastic box-store guards that the previous owner installed. There was no hard sell; he just presented the facts so that I could consider the pros and cons. I was pleased with the service, the information, and the overall experience.

Roof pitch was too steep for one person to safely negotiate with equipment on truck. This was totally understandable. I was told that they would call me to reschedule a two-man team with the correct equipment. I never received that call. Several days later I called and spoke to someone that took my message and said they would forward it on to the correct party and they would be in touch. No one has returned my call as of 7/11.
