lawn mower repair

Regarding the lawn mower service last Fall, the work was performed in a timely fashion but my request that the self-propulsion mechanism be adjusted was not acted upon and deemed unnecessary. Within the first month of the mowing season, I had to remove the access panel and use WD-40 on the idler pulley mechanism so that it would relase properly. My bigger issue is with the snow thrower that I dropped off in mid-April with a promised completion date of a couple weeks. This morning, I picked up the unit which had yet to be worked on. Obviously, I do not need it at the moment but that is not the point. I took it in early so that it wouldn't sit in the garage all summer with the gas growing old and potentially clogging the system. I would also prefer that it spend the summer months with fresh rather than dirty oil. Finally, I want it here when I need it, not in the shop. Given the recent earthquake and hurricane, who knows when we will be struck by a blizzard? My primary complaint is that they made no commitment to call or email me when the work is complete. The service order that I signed states (and I paraphrase) that equipment left longer than 90 days after repair is subject to sale by Kohler to cover expenses. When I pointed that out, I was told that the clause didn't apply to me but I stressed that it's my sgnature on the bottom of the form which would seem to constitute an agreement between them and me. So I have called (and they aren't easy to reach) on or about the first of every month since April. Today, after attempting three calls to check on status and being placed on hold each time, I decide to pick up my unit, serviced or not (and it was not). I took it to a much smaller operation in Manassas, VA and we'll see how that works out. I let them know that I subscribe to Angie's List and that I would also be reporting on their service.
Description of Work: This report pertains to the Kohler location on Pleasant Valley Road in Chantilly, VA where I requested end-of-season service on my Toro lawn mower (work performed late last Fall) and Toro snow thrower (work not performed) this Summer.
