R. Benner And Associates

I spoke to Rob back in March about coming down to fix our deer fence.  Rob lives in PA but works all around the east coast.  He only does deer fencing, grates and gates.  Our property was unique in that the deer fence crossed two streams, a bog and a dry creek area that floods when it rains.  I searched long and hard for someone who knew what they were doing and I found Rob.  Many have said they can fix it but none of them really wanted to deal with it once they understood the scale of the problem.  Rob said he had seen this before and knew what to do.  Anyway, we spoke in March and my timing was not right to have him come out.  We emailed in May and settled on the end of the month.  Before Rob came down to our house I estimated the amount of work that would be needed aka the amount of fence to be fixed, and took photos of the stream crossings for him.  Initially he thought the job might be close to $4000.00 (our fence covers almost 3.5 acres).  Moving on, Rob ordered a small amount of materials to be delivered to the house (this is before we even paid him) and set a time to come down in the morning.  Rob is strictly a cash man and asked for a $1000 deposit the day he arrived on the job.  I was concerned about this at first and asked him for references.  He gladly gave me three names to call.  They all spoke very highly of him and I said yes to the job.  I met him in the morning, gave him the cash and he got right to work.  He got there at around 930am (he drove down from north of Phili) and started working.  He proceeded to work all day, I mean ALL day.  He stopped working at around 830pm when it was too dark to see.  He said the job was less than he thought and it would be around $2000.00.  He said he would be back in two days.  We spoke about what materials to get and he said they would be delivered by Friday.  He left and took the next day off and then came back on Friday to finish the job.  Again he arrived at 930am, met his supplier at the house and got the materials, and worked till 900pm (he was working with a head lamp on back in the stream and woods!).  I came back from work at 6pm and he showed me the progress and what he had done.  Everything looked great.   We said our goodbyes and he left to go do a 10k job in Ithaca, NY for the next week!  He is in high demand.
 We had a big storm and he emailed to see how the deer fence was holding up.  I said it was fine and he remined me to clean the any debris off of the fence.  He said to contact him if we had any questions or trouble.  So far everything is great!
Rarely do you find someone with that kind of work ethic, experience, and does the work himself.  I cannot speak highly enough of R. Benner and Associates deer fences and grates.  Worth ever penny and my wife could not be happier now that the yard rats are not eating her garden!
